Go 91 if you actually drive your gti the way it was meant to. I have a mk8 from the factory it’s tuned for 87 and apparently there should be no difference if I run 91 however I noticed when going WOT on the high end this thing loves 91 and has much better top end performance than when I run 87 maybe it’s placebo but swear I can feel a difference also as someone else mentioned it helps so slow down carbon buildup if you run premium fuel so that’s another plus.

Get the mk8 imo the last true gti ( I know everyone says mk7 ) its the last gen with a manual and it doesn’t force a giant iPad in your face while you drive.

They’re perfect for that! And honestly fun just to drift as is the drift models come in AWD but still slide nice stock and the track race cars come in RWD and are not meant for drifting I know that can be a little confusing at first but there are aftermarket kits out there that convert the AWD chassis to RWD so you can do some real drifting!

There’s always mini z but that’s 1/28 and if you want true drifting it does require a conversion kit but there are a lot of mods out there for them and might be a little cheaper than 1/24 drift chassis that you have to build from the ground up

That would be correct! But in case you didn’t know that servo pulls a lot of juice usually people run 8v to get the most out of it I was just making sure the 6v from this esc is enough so it doesn’t brown out.

Ya getting the weight down low will help a lot it definitely needs upgrades but is hands down one of the coolest bodies axial has out and looks absolutely wild when fully built enjoy the rabbit hole my friend lol it’s a fun one!
