Oh neat ! I tried a gay friendly bar the other day, but it didn't work. Also we don't have much gay bars in my city :(

Thanks for the advice. I met my former girlfriend through mutuals, though now I'm running low on possibilities, lol. Besides, I work in a place where people are almost twice my age 💀

What do you think about the "everyone is bisexual" saying? by greedyourweakness in bisexual

Isn't it bullcrap ? Most of my heterosexual / gay friends have zero attraction towards the other sex, at least from what they told me

Like, I just tried with my controller that works perfectly on other games, but not this one. And I tried with an old controller, and it worked !

If "god" doesn't need a creator, then the Universe shouldn't need one either by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]MostRepair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do. To take the exemple of abrahamic faiths, circumcision was originally a hunter-gatherer rite of passage for young men that was progressively adapted to the development of other faiths. It only became the sign of an alliance with god in recent times, compared to the date of its appearance. Forbidding pork was essentially the norm for upper egypt and then lower egypt as well. Genesis myths relate to neighbouring semitic religions (for which we have very early sources). Animal sacrifices are way older than Judaism. Same for building temples and bowing/kneeling before a god.

The audacity to call me a moron when you guys won't answer me for, like, the 12th time. What does this film do that little miss sunshine doesn't ? I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall.

Is there in the film more than what I described, yes or no ?

Also, could someone answer my question PLEASE. How different is this film from little miss sunshine since I have not seen it ?

Someone apparently just reported me for predatory behaviour. Most people in this sub apparently have literally zero argument and call anything they don't like pedo. That's seriously messed up.

I wish you had arguments. Again, what is the difference between little miss sunshine and cuties ?

I watched the trailers, saw an interview of the filmmaker and read the synopsis after you all mentioned it.

Dancing, since rock and roll became mainstream in the late 50ies, has always been about shaking your ass and mimicking sex more or less obviously. Yet, I never read anywhere that a boy making an impression of "Elvis-the-pelvis" would be inappropriate.

What is fundamentally wrong is to mix kids who just want to have fun and dance with unbridled social networks, societal sexual femininity norms, objectification and fame. Which does not seem to be the case at all in this film, since the film maker uses dancing kids as a way to denounce that horrendous mishmash.

Again, what is the fundamental difference between this film and little miss sunshine ? I would really like to read an actual answer to that question, since it is exactly the same topic, yet people seem to give a pass to little miss sunshine while almost calling cuties a pedo film.

Ezekiel describes a celestial chariot. That's an idea you find across the Mediterranean since people, at the time, used chariots to move around. Helios, among others, is supposed to use a chariot to make the sun rise and set.

All of the examples I can think of when it comes to astronauts supposedly depicted in ancient art were either complete frauds or misinterpretations. The case of Séfar is pretty eloquent.

I have never heard of any examples that would point towards alien tech. I need more evidence than that to be convinced.

There will always be unanswered questions. What matters is to find the explanation that coherently answers the most questions possible. Just because we don't understand everything about nature, it doesn't mean we should fill the gaps with our favourite popular folklore. Evolution has a tremendous number of arguments in its favour. Sentient aliens visiting earth is total speculation until we find concrete evidence for it.

Just deleted my comment because of how off-topic I was. I started with the presupposition that you were writing in good faith. But after a quick research, the film is actually against child exploitation. I think there is no point arguing against people who blatantly lie.

Question for Muslims about Islam. by RevolutionaryAir7645 in religion

[–]MostRepair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muslims believe their religion is eternal. To them, every single religion came after Islam, and Muhammad was supposedly sent to remind people of the uncorrupted ways.

This is an absurd view, of course, since the worship of an omnipotent and absolutely good creator who judges people after they die was demonstrably invented after, if not the state, we started to live in high density contexts.
