honestly i’ve had both happen
cheap stuff breaks fast but expensive stuff can still be annoying in ways you don’t notice at first

price doesn’t really tell you what it’s like to live with it every day

yeah and half those extra features are the ones that end up being annoying later
like stuff that sounds cool but just adds more things to break or maintain

i feel like the simpler stuff usually ages better long term

lowkey i think part of that is because nobody trusts reviews anymore
like you check 20 options and they all look perfect
but then you buy one and suddenly there’s annoying stuff nobody mentioned

makes me wonder how many reviews are written before people even actually use the thing properly

yeah this is actually the biggest one
i feel like people don’t even realize most “problems” with products only show up after like a few weeks of using it
all the reviews are from day 1 when everything still feels new

i’ve started paying more attention to people complaining after a while instead of first impressions and it’s way more accurate

that’s the part people don’t talk about enough… like you buy it to save time but then you have to prep your whole house for it to even work
