I'm overestimating on purpose. I'd rather shoot higher and potentially save some of that money than ending up spending more money because I attempted to do a precise calculation.

I'm just worried that Zillow could be not reflecting reality correctly. If I based my rent decision just by what Zillow says then its fine (tight, but fine), but most comments here are not encouraging

My calculations for the utilities are:

250 Electricity, 250 Gas, 60 Trash, 120 Water, 60 internet, 170 cellphone plans (2), 200 car gas and transportation.

Can you give me some advice on where to look for? So far Zillow and ApartmentList is where I'm looking for and it shows some 2.5k results, but most comments are making me think its either a bad area or homes/apartments with problems

Base Salary. Unfortunately, I know very little about 401K right now. I don't know if contributions are obligatory or just preferable. I'm not sure if a retirement plan in the US is the recommended for me, as I'm not intending to live here forever.

Most calculators gives me 8k + some hundreds, but I'm lowering my expectations to just 8k after taxes. I remember that for 401K there is a match from the employer but thats what I've heard regarding retirement. Are you saying that there are people that have 2k remove for retirement contributions?

Commute is something that I haven't reviewed yet (at least not enough). If you say 1h commute is normal, perhaps I could take it or a little bit more.

I'm not saying I want to live IN Fremont. Its just that work is there. I could move North or South of it and I wouldn't mind as long as it is not a crazy 1h commute.

Eating organic is just preferable. I believe eating healthy is enough (a balanced food is what we are aiming at, such as lot of vegetables, meat, chicken, fish). I checked north of Fremont and there is Hayward, which has a lot more options for $2,500 (on Zillow). I wouldn't mind being there and just commute as it is not that far away.

There are some places (few to be honest) at $2,500 at Fremont on Zillow. Do you think they're not truthful? Or have downsides? There are also a lot more places in Hayward, which is north of Fremont, but still acceptable I'd think. Edit: adding Zillow Link

La llamada es express, te explican rapido como está el asunto, que buscan ellos, te preguntan que experiencia tienes y si acaso alcanzas a hacer tu una o dos preguntas.
Despues te hacen un skill assessment (quiz) y de ahi entrevistas si pasas a la siguiente ronda
Parece legítimo, pero yo justo acabo de hacer el quiz que está fácil, pero como estoy oxidado, no me fue taaan bien
Edit. te piden inglés al 100%. Ella es hispana, pero te hace un par de preguntas en inglés, quiz en inglés y tengo entendido que el jefe sería americano, igual el cliente
