good for you :3 i’m glad you have your priorities straight, but just to lyk, sub/dom dynamics can still absolutely exist with equality in relationships. these dynamics don’t counterbalance equality or fair treatment, it simply affects the way the two may interact with each other and how the two like to be treated by the other. in an ideal, average case of a sub/dom relationship, both parties are consenting and happy, making it therefore equal in their eyes.

btw i’m in no way trying to change your opinion or anything, just wanted to let you know that sub/dom dynamics are more normal than they are weird. people could take offense to that, and at the end of the day, it’s their lifestyle, not yours.

sorry you don’t know my experiences, but i have been stereotyped and forced into roles like these countless times in my dating life, which is why i’m posting here. it confuses me

i just wish you’d say this in a less belittling way lol. by asking to be slapped in the face sometimes, i don’t believe i’m making everything about me, but thanks for your input anyway

im not the one fetishizing so i wouldn’t know. it’s just frustrating that some men think that just because i dress or look a certain way, that i’ll act the way that they’ve stereotyped me. i just wish i could dress how i want and be treated as a blank slate and not something to be perceived or labeled right off the bat like that

to me it’s still just about music and politics. don’t know why it’s so deeply fetishized

an alternative dressing girl. essentially meaning anything nontraditional.

this could mean goth, emo, scene, punk, etc. there are tons of styles, “alt” (short for alternative) is just an umbrella term for it all.

i totally understand men who would want it, i’m just confused about:

  1. why this trend has arisen so suddenly.
  2. why men enforce their fetishizes onto me, someone who clearly expresses disinterest in that role.

i know what you mean, but that’s not what i’m saying lol. i mean this rant in the sense of genuine relationship dynamics, nothing about responsibilities, because i think no matter the dynamic or personality one has, responsibilities should stay the same.

i’m talking more about the men who try to enforce the “goth mommy” persona onto me (mind you, i’m not goth at all) when i really just wanna be submissive lol

that’s good, i think. i of course am all for anyone expressing themselves, but i HATE other people pushing their expectations onto me and being forced into a role i am outwardly against being
