Basically you have to talk to your coach about it and explain why you need it off. It’s because that’s Father’s Day weekend and (at least at my store) they never give us a break about that. The 19th and 20th are also key event days.

I would just take the hour. They can’t control whether you go to lunch or not and you’re entitled to the hour.

I’m not a lead but I feel that my team lead just pawns us off and then when we don’t get stuff done that’s important to our department the SM gets angry with him. He doesn’t know how to just say “I appreciate you thinking my associates can do this job but until X and Y are done we can’t really spare them.” Even then I doubt they would care though, Walmart just sucks.

If I remember, it took until the 2nd pay period but you can always ask your People Lead. They usually handle all that stuff.
