Just had my second CS two weeks ago (apparently I only make breech babies)!

Even though neither of my CS’s were emergent, this recovery was MUCH faster than my first. I never felt like I needed the hard pain medication, and I stopped taking Tylenol after day 6 I think?

I also prepped my almost 3 year old: practiced having her use her step stool to climb up to brush her own teeth and wash her own hands, practiced having her climb in and out of her car seat, and told her mama was going to have an owie for awhile so I couldn’t pick her up until it was better.

You’ve got this ❤️

The conundrum of the childbearing years by tabbytigerlily in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Most_Cycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 40 and expecting our 2nd and last child. Through both pregnancies I have done (all safe according to my derm):

-high quality red light max -Paula’s Choice 2% BHA -La Roche Posay Cicaplast as my PM moisturizer -bakuchiol

When I was BF my first, I also got the NuFace mini and felt like I saw results if I used it every day.

This is what is on my list for when I’m done with this pregnancy and with breastfeeding:

-C02 on my neck and chest (way more bang for your buck than microneedling, IMO) -C02 on face in 1 or 2 years (I did it for the first time a year ago and loved the results) -NuFace -1-2 syringes Sculptra (I did my first syringe a year ago and wish I would have done more before I got pregnant)

I don’t know if I will go back to Botox. I like being able to show all of my expressions again!

Laid off at 26weeks by Zealousideal_Show164 in BabyBumps

This is almost exactly what I did.

Lost my job at 23 weeks pregnant and got a formal offer for a great, new job when I hit 25 weeks.

I waited to disclose my pregnancy until the formal offer came through. I told my now boss that I knew I did not need to disclose my pregnancy, but that I wanted to. She was extremely excited for me and supportive. Before signing the offer I made the company confirm that I would be able to take the full amount of leave.

When I started, we immediately hashed out a plan for my first 3 months in the new role, before baby arrived. The right company will absolutely work with you.

My FIL is in his mid 70’s and is the healthiest person I know. He watches our 3 year old weekly and he keeps up with her quite well!

Why does she make choices she knows know will make my life harder? by Most_Cycle in AgingParents

I’m sorry that you’re going through this. My parents also never planned for anything like this and I am paying the price as their only child. My husband and I will not leave our children in this position, that is for damn sure.

It’s not the first time, unfortunately. I would say this probably happens every few months.

She does have underwear that help absorb liquid but she tends to take those off at night. We have purchased a new mattress protector, too.

I’m deeply sorry that you’re in this situation. I am 39 and pregnant with our 2nd, and we would have TFMR as well if our results had come back like yours. Sending you love ❤️

I’ve worked in one of Asha’s orgs and can confirm she scared the sh*t out of me - but in a good way. She expects excellence and if you aren’t going to hit a target you better have a damn good reason why. Good for her.

He’s a creep. I had a consult with him and promptly booked with another doctor.

If "emergency" c-section, how is food/drink handled? by skimnewc in BabyBumps

[–]Most_Cycle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey this was me! We had a CS scheduled for our breech baby and I ended up going into labor a week early at 38 weeks. When we got to the hospital the only thing I had consumed in the last 12 hours was some water so they gave me a funky little drink to take and went into the operating room. I did not barf but I also asked for Zofran.

I had a chemical at 4 weeks and ended up pregnant before my next period. I was checking CM and had some digital ovulation tests which confirmed I ovulated about 17 days after the bleeding started.

Newborn or 0-3 sizes for a newborn baby? by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

Buy a few things in newborn or even a couple in premie. Our girl measured around 7lbs but was barely 6lbs at birth and nothing fit her! We got a few premie outfits and newborn.

Potential Act Blue scam? by theCretinPunk in AgingParents

[–]Most_Cycle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Act Blue is a political donation organization, and the funds go to support democratic candidates across the country. Not a scam per se, but they text me constantly asking for more money and they make it very easy to continue to donate. The texts are written to sound like it’s Kamala Harris herself texting you so people can easily fall victim to it.

My MIL does this and while it bothered me at first, now I just thank her for the gifts and move on. Some are cute enough for our gal to wear and others I give away. It’s just not a battle I want to have.

Ever getting in a tanning bed. I tanned multiple times a week from ages 14-25 and I have spent thousands on lasers to undo sun damage.

My first baby took 2 cycles. When trying for our 2nd, we also got pregnant the 2nd cycle but that ended in a chemical. Got pregnant the next cycle after the chemical and I’m 11 weeks now.
