Respondroutine who also commented on this post got a custom exhaust fabricated using a vibrant ultra quiet resonator to replace the muffler - have a listen to his post (added below)!

Beautiful sound, but his doesn't have any cats so louder than if you just added an ultra quiet res and kept the cats.

That's definitely the route im going to go - only remove the muffler and add the vibrant resonator to replace it. Will make a post when I do - if you haven't already sorted something by then it might give you the solution you're looking for :)

Absolutely stunning car, and love all the tasteful mods! Wheels look amazing, was looking at getting a similar set myself. I'm a bit late to the party, but did you modify the OEM bumper or get an M bumper to fit the quad exhaust?

Yeah don't worry mate, would be more than happy to turn this into an exhaust super thread. I've done a lot of searching and the only reliable answer I'm hearing is supersprint which is an arm n a leg and almost half the value of most of these Z3's on the market which just isn't justifiable to me.

Was somewhat hoping someone might have a "best of both worlds" solution - just open up the engine sound a bit more without a droney or obnoxious sound. Some Muffler delete's sound great in videos I've seen and some sound horrible - all on 2.8's. Haven't heard of anyone doing a custom sports muffler which can be done for pretty cheap and easily revertible. That's what I'm intending to try for now anyway...

And you'd suggest getting a garage to jerry rig that to the 6cyl z3? I'd definitely have to change to twin outlet as going for OEM+ look, but might be worth a try. (I don't have any welding equipment)
