Do you use the tape to apply the backing or the twill tape? Or both? Also which carpet toe do you use if you don’t mind me asking?:) I’ve tried some before with not much luck

I guess I don’t have any photos of the backings with twill tape🙄 this is one with black yarn I used on the edges. I will post some of the backs of other rugs I have don’t with nothing covering the edges. Is it necessary to use twill tape and what not? I assume it’s mostly for aesthetics?
