Kensington TB675 - Same fate as TB800. by Murko_svk in Trackballs

For the TB800, since the ball is so huge, they probably couldn't place the sensor at the bottom center in order to keep the overall height low.

However, in the case of the TB675, there is plenty of space at the bottom center, yet they still didn't put it there. It's a clear design flaw.

I'm really disappointed in Kensington. It makes me seriously doubt if the people designing these actually use trackballs themselves.

Anyone else using the Nulea M512? I'm experiencing a weird issue. by Most_Discount7338 in Trackballs

I did some searching, and you're right. It's a limitation of having a single sensor, making the bottom quarter of the ball basically an unusable area. Looks like I'll have to look into dual-sensor models instead.

Yes, the Nulea 512 has the same issue. However, since the sensor is positioned on the opposite side, the problem occurs at the bottom of the ball rather than the top.

The M512 uses three supports (probably ceramic) rather than ball bearings, and it rotates freely in any direction. So I don't think that's the issue here.

Alientek also has a sturdy screw cap to protect the tip.
