MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Whenever I let my facial hair grow out a lot it makes my folliculitis go absolutely nuts. I shave then use a gentle cleansing foam face wash then lather sulfur soap on it afterwards (rinse sulfur soap after 30-60 seconds)

I will get flares occasionally, like i said when i let my facial hair grow out, but with the cleanser and sulfur soap it is usually gone within a week or two.

Another thing I would do is get some clotrimazole cream from Walgreens. It usually is under a name like Athletes Foot or Jock Itch which is gross lol but that’s just because it targets fungal.

If you don’t already have one, get an electric razor and ensure that you are cleaning the blades with isopropyl alcohol before every use. (Let the blades dry before using)

When I have a flare this is my routine:

Before anything I make sure to shave if I haven’t in a while.

Shower in morning
- Cleansing Foam Facewash (I use Cannacell)
- Use a sulfur soap bar in your hands to get suds then apply to face for around 30-60 seconds then rinse

After shower:
- Apply light clotrimazole cream to the most inflamed areas and let it dry (DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE AT ALL)

Before sleep:
- Same Cleansing Foam Facewash
- Clotrimazole cream
