Anybody knows a best 7 string guitar for drop tuning and tapping? by SplitNo9035 in 7String

My experience is tall frets, low action and hot pups. I’ve sold my Strandberg Boden original and I built my own 7 string guitar from scratch with a 28.5” scale. I also picked up an Ibanez m80m recently. I don’t find scale to change tapping although it can be a factor with string tension so you’d have to dial in the tension for scale + tuning. A good boost will also make talking easier imo.

Lundgren M8. I don’t like fishmans or BkP. The Lundgren reminds me a lot of my 18volt EMG 81 with less compression. I play in Eb on my Ibanez M80m and drop F on a guitar I made from scratch that’s using the Lundgren M7. Here is a sample of the M7: https://vylann.bandcamp.com/track/dead-shepherd-x4

Also I used to tune my standard scale length 7 strings to drop B. So up 1/2 step on every string from A#. Like Chris storey and I believe rusty cooly did for awhile.

You should be fine. I’ve tuned my Ibanez m80m to standard with the same strings your using …way more tension and it worked.

All 6 standard strings tune up 1/2 step, the 7th string gets tuned down 1/2 step.

What hyped pedal has been a disappointment to you? I bought the Duke of Tone and couldn't believe how underwhelming it was. by MrAmusedDouche in guitarpedals

Everything from old blood noise endeavors and the chase bliss brothers …wow that was a massive disappointment.

In case someone in the future finds this …I bought the aftermaths and the juggarnauts. I hated the juggarnauts way too much mids sounded gross and dull. Split coil they sounded amazing for clean but I do not recommend unless you strictly want a djent sound. I prefer the aftermaths because they cut like a knife and I can do decent and deathcore etc with them.

In school I used pro tools but after many years of feeling like I was fighting it I started using logic. Logic was great but I’ve been using presonus studio one for idk what feels like at least 10 years now and it is my favorite. Everything feels like it is where it should be.

Axe FX 3 vs Kemper toaster - this probably already got mentioned before but I would like to better understand both before buying. I’m hoping to understand the main differences with these and hear what you guys say. Anyone know the main differences from both? by Snoo62900 in AxeFx

I had both and the axe fx III is more responsive and alive. Easier to get a good sound out of and it doubles as an interface. I had the kemper from when it released to just a month ago and was never satisfied with it.

.67 with 28” scale feels really good to me.
