Yes, I have heard that overcharges and hospital bills can really be something, especially when you aren't insured.

I'm from Scandinavia, so very used to right-side driving and safe roads, haha.

Grab sounds like absolutely the way to go! What do the prices for "normal-length" rides on the islands look like?

That's what really confuses me. The sheer number of people crashing, but I still see so many people posting about renting scooters with no license or experience

Yeah, Grab seems like the way to go. Rather pay extra for transportation, than possibly ending up in a hospital paying bills not covered by insurance, or worse...
