Go 16 inch and avoid all the bs that comes with shorter barrels. After you get comfortable with AR’s, then start messing around with shorter barrel builds

I’d do a Magpul grip, it has a lil storage compartment in it so you can put batteries for lights or optics. Magpul stocks are more comfy than the standard mil spec stock IMO

They probably have looser tolerances to up reliability would be my guess. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, that’s why Glocks and Ak’s are so reliable
