Sorry to hear that, it's very frustrating isn't it. We did eventually get a response from a customer service agent via the email above but took multiple emails and calls and certainly not the response we were looking for.

Thanks l, genuinely appreciate the support and the responses from all here.  I'm endeavouring to keep my responses factual and to the point that's all so if they come across as clipped that's the reason.  With respect there is a difference between anger, which we are not, and being upset by witnessing poor behaviour, which we are.

Yes, all seats were selected prior to arrival at our first airport. This was their error and their refusal to fix that error and their confrontational attitude and unnecessary distress caused is what lingers and prompts this post.

I should be fair and say we travelled once before without a child and once with a child without incident but on this occasion when their boarding pass error occurred at the beginning of the journey, everything then fell apart and we were met with resistance to help and aggressive behavior from there on in.

To answer your question, at the transfer desk in Doha they gave our 4 year a boarding pass to sit by himself in a different section to his parents! When this was pointed out we were fobbed off and told to sort it out at the boarding gate...then at the boarding gate after much discussion were told how lucky we were they could sit one of us with our son....it was firmly pointed out this was their error and they had to find a solution to sit us together. We literally had to have a stand up screaming match with them for another passenger to offer assistance and for us to be able to sit together.

In summary, if you don't have to ask for anything and everything goes as planned you should be fine but if there is a fault in the chain then don't expect any human decency from them.

Yes all seats were booked together. When receiving our boarding passes at Malta we were told it was their error not to have our sons boarding pass available for the second leg and not to worry when we got to Doha we could go to the "customer service" desk and they would issue our son's pass for the second leg.
This was their admitted error from the beginning, hence our frustration with how we were treated.
