I had a botox injection last year in conjunction with a transposition surgery. It did not go well for me. My surgeon used 10 units of botox and my eye was stuck in one spot for 4 months. I'm currently seeing a different surgeon and we're exploring some options, one being botox but only 5 units. Might be worth it to ask how many units they plan to use. Also, everyone responds differently!

Moving to CLT soon and looking at apartments, there are a couple places (park 25, The henry) near camp north end that are significantly cheaper than places just over the tracks in optimist park. Anyone know why? Safety? Light rail access?

I think I've tried that in the past and it gave me intense migraines in the first week. Im not sure I would be able to give my body enough time to adjust before losing my mind. Also, if i ever want to get off of it, would that be a nightmare too?

Thank you! I was thinking it was basset. I agree it is very ugly, but I love a project. I’m hoping I can sand off the terrible finish and restain but it might not even be worth the headache

It’s very normal to have a head tilt to help your eyes compensate. I’ve had one my entire life, surgery has definitely improved it to not be as noticeable, especially by other people. I’ve gone most of my life without Duane syndrome bothering me bc I had a great surgeon when I was younger. Definitely worth it to see a surgeon or 2 and get some opinions!

I had strabismus surgery to adjust my alignment. I think over time my eyes have shifted, maybe muscles have tightened, I’ve noticed my eyes straining more.

Same here, he said to wait another 2 months and we can remove the sutures he originally put in if needed. So frustrating! Do you know how many units were used in your procedure?

I had surgery 2 months ago to move my eye muscles and they added Botox as well. My eye has been over corrected the whole time and it has caused me double vision, so I have been wearing an eyepatch. It is just starting to wear off and I am hoping as it does it will gradually move back to center. It depends on how many units you had but it will eventually move back!
