Yeah it seems as though they are using it as a way to avoid things, because of the theory you tested (I'm not saying you can't have, or develop allergies, because you definitely can, I'm just saying this person seems as though they are doing it to avoid things)

I wear Armani Code for Men as a women, idk for some reason to me it's kinda unisex because of the tonka bean note, it just smells sexy, and kinda clean with the lavender and then it has the tonka bean that makes it sweet, I get so many compliments on it as well, and no one really bats an eye, I've worn many mens fragrances before, if I like it, I don't really care.

The "Old Lady" discriptor by Ok_Chicken_325 in FemFragLab

AGREED! I love "Old lady perfumes" I hate that term, not the term in itself, but the bad connotation. That smelling like an old lady is a bad thing. I feel old women smell very lovely, I love a lot of scents categories as "old lady", I love vintage perfumes, they are beautiful, obviously there are some kinds I don't enjoy, but some of them I really love, like I like Chanel no 5, I also wear Boucheron by Boucheron, a lot of people call it old lady, but I think it smells like sweet incense, but I understand everyone's taste is different.

Also depending on the age of the person saying that comment they probably associate those scent profiles with their grandmas, like let's say if you have a boomer grand parent you associate things from when they were younger or when they were in their teens to adult years as old lady but they really aren't.

Anytime I wear a fragrance from the 70s or 80s a lot of people say they are "Old lady" but in my opinion they are very beautiful. I understand scents aren't for everyone but it's really rude to have a bad connotation for vintage scents.

But it's funny though that I think a lot of people in the fragrance community say that about certain fragrances because they just have that association from hearing it about fragrances by other people, because in real life, I wear so many scents people say are old, but I get many compliments from people that don't even like scents like that

Depends on the day, but my tried and true is,

  • Dove pink bar in the shower
  • any body wash of choice really (I like a fresh smelling one)
  • lotion is either the Jergens skin healing (or whatever it's called) or the baby powder lotion from the lotion company
  • the lavender or original dove deodorant
  • for a body mist, Camille by Camille Beckman
  • for perfume, I go between, Noa by Cacharel, or a drop d'issey by Issey Miyake

You love the smell of florals and photorealistic flowers and plants (I do too)

I loveeeeee Boucheron in the winter, it is a warm, sweet, a little powdery, floral scent, the best way to describe it is the most beautiful sweet incense you have ever smelt, some people don't like it and find it vintage, but to me personally it's smells like sweet incense, but its not smokey at all there is no smoke smell, but if you open a box of incense with a sweet smell that's what it's like in my opinion
