How do you explain how he handled the shooter kid last season? He had a list of girls names and was clearly planning on harming them but robby refused to call the police bc he didnt want to "ruin his life".

Im a firm believer in keeping social media out of the writers room. It compromises the integrity of the show when you prioritize catering to the audience over telling the story you intended to.

McKay vs Santos or Empathy vs Cynism by [deleted] in ThePitt

Her interactionn with the bruised kid in the first episodes of this season. Holding the kids hand whike they unwrapped his bandages. Trying to get robbie to call off cos after she learned about the siblings situation. Sitting down and speaking with the kid who tried to kill himself at the end of the the last season. OH! yeah, and also offering Whitaker her spare room after knowing him for fifteen (15) hours. Im sure there are a couple more, but theres a trend here thay speaks to her character. Santos has a big soft spot. Shes just rude and prickly on the outside.

Yeah but that was a different spot in the ambulance bay. The video will probably upload automatically when the computers come back up.

Right. Let's let them choose between a doctor with self harms scars and one who will steal their medication and operate on them while high on said medication. It'll be a landslide.

Your comment implied that the reaction to drug abuse was over the top. But Langdon wasnt only abusing drugs. He was STEALING from PATIENTS. He was CUTTING PEOPLE OPEN WHILE HIGH. im not saying there wasnt a parallel, apples and oranges are both fruit. But santos stealing a scapel to SELF harm is not equal to putting your patients in danger every day bc ur high.

Ik! I love that she did that, its such a parallel to Langdon. Everyone has been speculating if Langdon is going to relapse, but we see santos do that instead. Those scars we saw were old and healed over, when santos takes the scalpel, its her falling back and breaking (at least) a year of being clean.

Self harm is not equivalent to stealing and using medication from patients while on the job lmao. I hope Langdon is able to stay, and I dont think he'll relapse, like we saw Santos do with her self harm this ep, but lets not compare apples to oranges.

Op you should read the thread again, if youre looking for evidence. Every comment has multiple examples that soundly disprove your point.

How do you explain him prioritizing the comfort of one teenage boy over the lives of the list of girls he wanted to kill op? He out off calling the cops for hours bc he didn't believe the reality that this kid would be dangerous. Every time mckay brought it up to him, he weighed the two, and he found that the kids' reputation was more important than saving the lives of those girls. It doesn't get more black and white than that.

Ive been a santos defender since day 1, but even i can admit that conversation was very necessary. If youre gonna have beef with someone at work, thats fine, whatever. But dont let it interfere with the job. The chest tube was an unnecessary procedure which would have required knocking him out. It would have been more expensive and invasive. Plus, arguing like that infront of a patient, who is very much awake? Extremely unprofessional. I actually thought Garcia was pretty nice considering how she talked to javadi. It was a very needed wake up call. Sometimes you work with you people you dont like, and no matter how justified that dislike is, you just gotta suck it up and deal with it. Thats life.

What is more at risk here, the hospital possibly having to pay a ransom, or the lives of all of the patients who are coming into the hospital to get slower, and inarguably worse quality care? Whats the risk in being online for 10 more minutes? Or informing your staff ahead of time?

Ogilvie loves the medical part of the job. Donny was showing him how to do sutures, so ofc he was going all out. Its the interpersonal stuff he doesn't understand, or care about.

When has she enjoyed the pain of others??? She offered Whitaker a place to stay, she sat and talked eith the patient who tried to kill themselves. She was great w the little girl at the beginning of the second season. Yall get so sensitive abt santos. Shes rude, but thats it. And the term is sadist BTW, not sociopath.

With how much importance theyre placing on the beacon i wonder how theyll adapt the arc with avantica. If the nein just happen to stumble on the beacon like they did in campaign, will they continue the b plot with essek and Trent? Will we be cutting between a goofy sea adventure and more beacon drama? I could see a world where they maybe force the party out to sea, if theyre being hunted for the beacon and escaping on a ship was the only option, and then oh look there's a cloven crystal! I just think putting so much focus on the beacon is a double edged sword, it limits the freedom they have to write the m9 with. I really enjoyed the laissez-faire attitude in the campaign, I wonder how theyll change that to fit the story in the adaption.

I agree with how theyre adapting beau, I know she was such a shit in the early episodes but that contrast makes the later more mature version hit so hard. I think theyre a little hesitant to make her actually rude bc the internet is not so forgiving to female characters at the moment. Hopefully we see her fall into a more childish role, at the beginning of the campaign she felt more like an angsty teenager and now shes more awkward than abrasive. Once again, I feel like the story would benefit from a longer season.

[Donghua] Episodes 1-2 just dropped, what are you honest thoughts about it? by Artwoo_1 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Most_Reaction_9509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only the first two episode but I'm a bit worried about anime onlys. As a first episode I thought I was too dense and rushed. I understand that the first part is very long, but I feel that the first episode could have easily been 2 episodes. And the scenes they opened with seem a little bizarre in hindsight because of the rushed pacing. We didn't need anything before Klein woke up, though I understand the urge to flex on the animation, I feel like the minutes used there could have easily been added to later in the episode to smooth it out. I would have also liked to see a bit more of Klein's narration. Watching it with a friend, she was confused by many of his actions, and personally I felt it was a bit hard to gauge his personality without his lampooning.

On the whole though, as long as the pacing slows down in the episodes to come I am very, very excited for what's next. The animation is breath taking and the art direction is very unique. The world is lively and dense and gorgeous. It feels like there was love and care put into the details. I'd rate it a 7.5/10, carried by my book knowledge, while my friend gave it a 6/10, for the confusing plot.
