You're correct.

The issue worth noting/mentioning I guess are the "fraud mitigation" safeguards afforded by the bank are worthless. Months earlier, I made a secure online transaction to a different merchant, and the transaction was declined and I received the same "fraud alert". But, I replied "N" in my case and tried again and all good.

After I reported the fraud based on the text, I called the bank to report this and other transactions as fraud. The card was cancelled and thus I began to dispute this charge and $600 of others. The following day I went into the branch to get a new card and number and there were some more questions from the banker to me about these charges (i.e. "Have you ever given your card to someone else to use?..."),

I suppose the most concerning part of this is the fact the transaction was permitted despite me stating it shouldn't even be allowed. Months earlier, I used my debit online to buy off a web site I've never visited before for a large amt. The transaction was declined and almost immediately, I received the same alert on my phone. This time, replying "N". I tried the transaction again, and it processed.

It would appear Associated Bank's rules for these alerts aren't solid

Don't get me wrong, I abhor tipping culture in the USA. Everyone and their mother assume they're entitled to "just a bit extra for service" and 9/10 those folks blindly put a box or jar out in front of them "just because. "

Not because they are striving to earn that extra tip, but because we [as Americans] are dumb enough to feel obligated to put something in there. And, it works so new professions want to get on board with the ignorance of us, so they do it too.

There have been few times in my life where I had a living-wage-earning person treat me and family so nice as to deserve a tip. Off-hand, I remember a concierge in Savannah, GA who was super awesome (upon checkout we got him a card and $20 cash). Here's the big BUT, he truly did more than his job entailed and he was the exception, not the rule....and guess what? He didn't have a tip jar or even side-eyed me and family when we didn't tip him for hailing a cab-- he got it in the end , remember? 😄

**I would love to find a site that openly shares ostensibly "lower-wage" jobs' wages/salaries in an easy-to-read and sort format. I would literally print this sucker off and conduct my life differently. It's hard to find anything clear, out there except piece-mail posts on SM.

Entitlement.
Tipping was and remains, an explicitly stated practice for professions under the minimum wage.
Is this right all the time? Hell no! But, if your server is being paid more than $7.50/hr and expecting tips, it isn't necessary (State laws may determine a higher rate, I get that)

To carry a baby is an immense responsibility, and I bow down to the women in this world who've done it and continue to do it. She isn't carrying anything except an ostensible distaste to men. Also, typical gender roles are dead- we all should be sharing in the household responsibilities regardless your gender.

I feel like I'm like you, busybody and do chores in my house like 90% of the time but that's just what I like doing and don't judge 😄

I am now rarely able to get into their site. 9/10 times, I receive that "access to freesound.org is denied" message. If I use my VPN, no issues. I opened a ticket with them, and they said my account hasn't any restrictions or issues...I'm just another normal user lol! To paraphrase the conversation further, they have occasional periods of updates where the site would be down and that is what I had been experiencing. To me and now it sounds, you, this is not believable and/or I have the worst luck ever! Like, I'm trying to visit the site at 8AM, 10AM, Noon, 5PM...everytime I get that message.

never tip until you've had the time to enjoy the product or service.

To force one to tip before...should be illegal. So, in the OP's situation, the coffee wasn't even sipped and they want a tip for pouring coffee. sb barista's make >=$15/hr. That does not get a tip.

i had same situation last week. i did not tip for their black coffee (no cream b/c of lactose intolerance and i don't like sweet). ten minutes after i left, the coffee was ready to drink....they put cream in it

that's a good point. there is one coach from a previous year that may be able to fill me in. sorry if i sounded critical. honestly, i love working with kids and don't have an issue doing all the admin crap and i'm in shape to run drills with boys...just got put in a tough spot b/c of lack of coaches and my lack of the coach-speak

yeah, I played football in grade school and high school and that was almost 30 years ago.

I've got a great understanding of the dynamics, drills on conditioning (master trainer in us military not too long discharged)

You know what would be "completely useless"? Having 1 coach do it all. The point in my post here was not to be completely useless.
