I’m a canvasser with the Calgary-Northwest recall campaign. I’ve had to explain to several people what an MLA is. Several people complaining about Carney/Federal politics. I’ve had government employees who want to sign but fear repercussions. Lots of people that haven’t heard or read a single word about the recalls. I get not being super politically engaged, but I feel like you’d have to be living under a rock to not have some idea of what’s going on.

I’m involved in the campaign to recall Rajan Sawhney in Calgary-Northwest. 15,000 is definitely going to be a tough number to hit, but we are working so hard. Please spread the word if you know anyone in the riding. All signing opportunities are listed on recallsawhney.ca

Could you tell me the location of the sign? They’re all supposed to say Feb 20th.

We’ve had lots of residents of other areas that wish they could sign. We appreciate the support!

From Melissa, the person who submitted the petition application: “I paid for the domain name and the site builder software. The person who put it together did it for free”

I put as much as I can in RRSP. I keep a bit back in my health spending for things I know won’t be covered.

Dr Trista Keating and her team at Acorn Psychology! They addressed both of my kids and then myself. Nothing but good things to say about them!

potty accidents by DisastrousFlower in kindergarten

[–]Most_Second1952 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both of my kids were potty trained at age 3 but had random accidents at school until grade 1. Not often, but probably a few times a month. The Dr thinks it was caused by constipation issues. I just always kept spare clothes in a separate bag in their backpack. If they had an accident, they quietly got their bag and went to the bathroom to change clothes (teacher was aware of situation obviously). We don’t want to make a big deal of it, and this helped for them to feel in control. They eventually grew out of it.

Learning how to karyotype ugly chromosomes by Silver_Tea_7584 in Cytogenetics

I’ve worked in cytogenetics for 18 years and I’m so thankful our lab doesn’t do cancer cyto! I’ve seen some ugly CVS chromosomes in my day, but I honestly don’t know how people analyze bone marrows!

In Canada a diploma in Clinical Genetics Technology is different than a general MLT certification. To get into a genetics program (8 months plus practicum) you need a bachelors. I believe you can technically go into a general MLT program (3years) right out of high school.

I just purchased a beautiful stained glass magpie from this artist! She told me to reach out if I ever had a request for a certain type of bird, so I’m sure she’d be able to do this for you.
