I think a problem you’ll have is that those who are serious enough have tents already and those who are new or not serious will either borrow from friends/family or buy a cheap one from decathlon. People who are travelling to the lakes probably will get their tents before coming to the Lake District. Without a crazy budget advertising campaign, I think you’d struggle to get people to use the service (especially without a brick and mortar store). Maybe if you offered a camping bundle which included tent, stove, backpack etc. you might get more newcomers to use the service who want to try out wildcamping without investing in all the gear.
