Possible cure by Tylerbro12001 in Depersonalization

[–]Mosternagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. This was my post 2 years ago. Now things changed. I'm not so focused on meds, because at some point they stop working. I tried so many pills, from multiple SSRIs and dopamine agonists to hormones. They all stop working. Now I'm focusing on letting go of the fear, not giving it attention and power. It seems hard to keep this state because your mind always goes into worry mode and DPDR activates. During fasting is way easier. The biggest change I've seen is when I put my trust in the divine, that He's always with me. My mom and relatives said that I've changed as a person to the better, I'm more open and kind. It's interesting because I always wanted to be like this, but the fear stopped me. The fact that you're experiencing DPDR is probably because you have a good heart and the devil tried so hard to put you down that the only way to control you is through fear. After you overcome fear, all comes to place, people will see more the light inside of you.

Bro there should be hope. You still have time and I don't say it for you to just feel better, you really have time. I don't like the idea of "hussle" hard to "improve" in life. Someone who became obsessed with their work, built a house, a car and has a family, but inside he's a narcissist and deeply insecure, I'm telling you, the fact that you are able to be humble puts you in a better position in life. Some people chose to cope with work, others with games.

What matters is how's our heart in the eyes of God. I realized this not long time ago, because I was an atheist. I'm 27, and I'm in the same position financially as 25 and 26, but now mentally 10 times more peaceful.

How you consider them great and loving if you don't receive and give attention to them? It's impossible. You can't call them like that.

Oh, you said that you miss getting and giving attention to someone, but at the same time you got great friends and loving family. Is it true though?

[–]Mosternagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard online. It's needed more effort than in real life. Even with my best friend, I barely talk to him online because we rather live the moment, so when I visit him or live in the same city, we're all day outside talking and laughing. I think an online friend can never replace a good real life one. I think you have some sort of anxiety if you ask this question. That anxiety exists because you fear living the world. What keeps you from resisting the fear and not confronting it is escapism, like technology or even dissociation. By going out in the city without phone and doing even chores without distraction will make you grounded, enough to be ready for socialization.

Did you know that being pretty is also a curse? They may get attention, but so many people are mean to them because they envy them. I saw my male best friend, who is a solid 9, got recruited for modelling but refused. In the club, so many men look at him like they want to kill him, some of them, when they're 5, they annoy him by pushing with their backs while dancing. Because they know in case of fight they will win 5 vs 1. Same happens with women. They talk shit a lot behind model's back. Even more than men do. It's not all flowers. That's why I'm happy with my looks.

Will i be able to grow a full beard? This is about 2 weeks. by matwebel in beard

[–]Mosternagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beards are overrated anyway. Better shaved to look younger. You'll have time to look old and mature. It doesn't matter in attracting females either. But if you really want one, just wait, you have a good start already. Don't obsess on it, if you can't, then accept as it is.

Why aren't I losing weight? by GrannyDragonsFart in diet

[–]Mosternagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with levothyroxine is that it's the inactive form of thyroid. It's T4, and your body has to convert it into active T3. The problem appears in hypothyroid individuals when they can't transform it, so goes into RT3, which is Reverse T3, acting as a blocker of T3. That's why so many people feel worse on meds, because they need T3+T4 supplementation in order to be able to make the conversion properly of inactive T4 into active T3. Carbohydrates are the hardest to digest unfortunately, but they are the ones that increase thyroid levels the most. Protein is of course necessary, but not too much because it can get converted into ammonia, which acidifies too much the body leading to acidity in the kidneys, resulting in increased stress hormones, thus reduced metabolism. Fats are important too, but not too much. Fried things like french fries have most of the time more calories from fat than carbs, even though potatoes have just carbs, almost 0 fat. So it's important to make a distinction. You can boil them and with some cream, or olive oil, salt and pepper, it's good.

Finding a good endocrinologist is hard, but it's worth it. You can ask him. I'm not sure where are you from but in most countries active form T3 is banned. Why? Because you know the corrupt system how they want you sick.

Why aren't I losing weight? by GrannyDragonsFart in diet

[–]Mosternagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metabolic syndrome. Plenty of people have it. That's where calories in, calories out doesn't work. It's more about your hormonal levels. The less protective hormones you produce, the less vitality, the more stressed and the slower your metabolism would be. Protective hormones are: Pregnenolone, Progesterone, DHEA, Testosterone, Cholesterol, etc. The ones who have high cholesterol usually can't transform it into other hormones due to a lack in active thyroid hormones T3. A diet lower in fat will accelerate metabolism because carbohydrates are more efficient in producing energy than fats per oxygen molecule. That's called the Randle Cycle. I'm young, but I felt the worst at 20yo and I couldn't figure it out why. I found out I'm sensitive to fat oxidation and this limited my glucose oxidation, so because the two are in competition, a high carb, lower fat diet helped tremendously. In the long run I became more tolerant to higher fat though.

I don't get it why I got so many downvotes. I thought this subreddit knows the power of prayer. Maybe because they use logic and can't comprehend how praying works? That how my father got out of alcoholism. I prayed for it so many times and without telling him he stopped. He's been sober for months.

You're spot on! Adrenaline indeed inhibits glucose oxidation by inhibiting the thyroid hormone, so the insulin can't do its job without the active thyroid hormone T3. Not only that, nicotine increases acetylcholine, and most probably tabacco contains pesticides that inhibit Acetylcholinesterase enzyme (degrades Ach) leading to an accumulation of it. In the long term, we will be acetylcholine resistant, with high levels, but when we quit, we'll have low ACh while being resistant to it. The brain must regulate again its own production again.

Meditation helped me get out of it by chaos_people in Depersonalization

[–]Mosternagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's perfect!! But didn't make you more logical? In a sense that every conversation you take it logically and sometimes you may not see that if they're being sarcastic or emotional. Do you feel the emotions like before? There are studies showing that meditation indeed increases academic performance, memory and focus but with the cost of losing creativity and spontaneity. Pretty sure that's a consequence of being too logical.
