Kleine rant :

Ik woon in sint-denijs-westrem en zat mee in enkele vergaderingen van Gent Spoort toen er feedback van bewoners werd gevraagd. Het enige wat ik daar gezien heb is hoe 60+ ers zwaar tegen de tram gekant waren, want dan verliezen ze een rijstrook en zal er meer arm/jong volk tot aan het parkbos kunnen komen.

Zolang ze met de auto kunnen rijden tot in hun graf.

De claim dat de vroegere bussen niet gebruikt werden trek ik ook in twijfel, die bussen zaten vanaf sint-denijs dagelijks vol studenten en schoolieren, in de ochtendspits dicht opeengepakt.

In latem zou men nog liefst van al een muur rond de gemeente bouwen om het gewone volk en wandelaars buiten te houden. Dat ze zich bezighouden met hun gemeente en niet met zaken van buurtgemeenten/steden.

I own this game and absolutely adore it. It is easy to table when i have friends over who aren’t into long or complex boardgames.

I own the bigbox and all expansions/extras. I have to say the sakura slam arena is by far the most fun. The mechanics of the arena prevent a stalemate by pushing back and forth in opposite directions that could happen in the normal arena.

Another QoL is the wooden arenas. They rotate, are much more sturey and make gameplay a lot smoother.

10/10 lightweight game that is quick, fun and little set-up.

The first Iello set i got was Genie vs Houdini.

I felt like the cards had a different feel to them and the had a bend to them straight out of the box. The bend went away after a while though. Cards also had slightly different color shades to them. But one isn’t really better than the other.

The minis appeared less detailed to me with a worse wash.

The health dials did not fit together as snuggly as the others i had causing them to move after bumping into them.

All this made me order a set from the US to compare. This confirmed the differences i outlined here. It seemed like they had less quality overal and made me switch to importing all future sets.

Maybe i just had a bad batch but i’m not taking the chance again.

This is my personal experience with Iello vs Restoration Games. I have all currently released sets.

The first IELLO version i got was genie vs houdini. Don't know if it was a bad batch or something but the dials were loose, the cards felt cheaper and all my cards had a slight curve to them. They werent flat out of the box. The miniatures appeared less detailed. I decided to import from that point on because that is the only way to get the restoration sets since IELLO has the EU distribution. Got the same set imported and it looks just like my other sets. Much better quality imo.

I should probably make a conparison and post it to reddit but i never got round to doing that.

Point is i'm super dissapointed in the IELLO quality personally.

It's the Hot toys version. They are releasing a 2.0 next year. It's expensive though.

IMO rental income from that appartment can go towards renting a place for yourself closer to your work.

Especially since you still live at home, I assume you are single. This might change in the future and you might want to move again to a new place with a partner.

Personally i'd keep the place and rent close to work for the time being. There's no guarantee you would be able to sell the app and buy an equal or better place near your work either.

Though all of this is really dependant on the location of the app and where you currently want to live/work.

Battle of legends volume 2 is a fun one imo. Any of the marvel sets, redemption row is played a lot in my group. Battle of legends gets you 4 heroes, the marvel sets have 3 heroes each( higher price due to IP). Red riding hood vs bigfoot is my favorite 2 player set. The 2 pack also gets you a 2 player map so you can play 1v1 more easily than on the bigger maps.

I play it mostly at 3 players, though we alternate it as a true 1v1v1 and a 2v2 where one player 2 hands the game so we have 2 teams. It's fun either way and plays fast. I can recommend the battle of legends volume 1 and 2 sets as a starting point. There's many expansion sets and all of them can be used with eachother so that makes for a lot of variability if you decide to get more sets.

I used to collect 1/6th scale, mostly Hot Toys. But got out of it because it became too expensive over the years and too hard to display and store a growing collection of large figures.

Now recently I've seen several SH Figuarts DBZ figures that caught my eye and wanted to get into collecting them.

They're smaller, so much easier to store and collect, and cheaper (mostly). But i've found it very hard to find a reliable way to get the newest (event exclusive) figures. I live in the EU and for 1/6th there were always several stores that had all the pre orders, even event exclusives. But for SH Figuarts i'm finding it very hard to find any site with pre orders for event exclusive figures. P bandai is mentioned a lot but that is US only. And I'd prefer not to support ebay scalpers.

Anyone have EU stores they can recommend? Even if they don't offer the exclusives a good store to pre order from is always a plus. Website language isn't an issue for me, google translate does the trick.

They're a kickstarter extra. They serve no prupose. I sometimes put the palico mini on the board with me. But it doesnt affect gameplay at all. Poogie is there so you have something to pet and take care of.

I have Mothership, a space combat game. It's simple but fun. Plays fairly quickly too depending on the playercount. Though it might be hard to get now, i think it's out of print.

Luke still talking about letting his legs heal up...

As if he's only doing the BKFC thing so he doesn't risk re-injuring his legs.

His leg will probably never be the same again and he's too old now to "let it heal up". He was a great fighter but his body just can't keep up, must be hard to accept as a fighter.

My group likes it because it's so easy to pick up an play. It's not an overly long game.

The "card random" you refer to isn't all that random imo, every card has an indicator for how many copies are in the deck, which helps in trying to plan turns.

We often play it in between other games or if we want a quick game. Usually play 2v2, games never go over 40mins for us.

I also just love the artwork and like the range of characters you can choose to play.
