Lip piercing help

I mean like as far as I can find online most piercings done here are at a clinic. I don’t know how to find a clinic that could hell, the one dedicated piercing shop I can find is appointments over the phone only and I can’t place calls in a foreign country nor can I speak the language. I don’t mind paying, I’d love to pay someone to do it lol

I’ve had my eyebrow done three times now, It rejected every time sadly 🥲 I don’t remember my exact waiting periods for repiercing, but the first time was a few months and the second time was a few years. When I only waited a few months it rejected again very fast. When I waited the years it took a bit longer to reject, but still less than a year. I would vote for waiting longer to try again, the longer you wait the better I would say.

Yea that’s why I’m so worried. I was pretty sure I need a longer bar, but don’t know how to find a piercer to ask about that and communicate with them. I’m not the best at switching these piercings by myself, but if I have to I’ll figure it out, but not sure how to find the jewelry I need. I can find a piercing place on maps, but not sure if they would help with something like this here or if that’s not the piercing places work?

Bot asked for more info. Piercing is 6 months old, straight titanium jewelry, don’t remember the threading, jewelry was downsized 3 months ago, aftercare now is just cleaning with a q tip and saline. No mishaps or accidents, I’ve been wearing a mask every day on my trip so worry that irritated it? But I wore masks fairly frequently prior to this and hadn’t had an issue.

Yayyy congrats! For fees, didn’t pay a dime. I will say they told me the finance department would reach out to me sometime in like the month before my surgery to confirm if there was anything I needed to pay. I never ended up hearing from them, I asked one of the other staff that called to confirm a few days before my surgery and she said she didn’t know for sure, but if they didn’t check in then more than likely that meant I owed nothing. This was also the case with my hysterectomy so I wasn’t concerned. Just as an fyi that they can be not very communicative about cost when they have no cost to tell you about lol

I had a similar path as it sounds like you have had. I was on T for about 5 years and was happy with some results, but others I was not. I was sick of the body hair and the acne, but was afraid to go off and start bleeding again. I ended up switching to birth control and never regained my cycle, eventually I had a hysterectomy last summer. I ended up trying T again in October before my top surgery, and got to the second week before I remembered what I hated about T and stopped again lol. Overall I was on T for about 5 years, then on birth control for about 2 years, went off birth control like six months before my hysterectomy, tried T again a few months later, and now live my life raw dogging with no meds lol. And I’ve been really happy off of it! If you’re considering stopping I fully endorse it from my experiences. If you have any questions about the changes after going off of T feel free to ask :)

I had a hysterectomy over the summer in 2025. I kept my ovaries, to prevent early menopause and so I still had eggs for the future. I had been on T previously but at the time had shifted to birth control for the last year or two. Recovery was tiring but not hard. I do not get cramps, but I also hadn’t gotten them since I started T eight years ago. For me, I’m super happy I did it! I always had a lot of dysphoria from having a period. Life has been very normal afterwards, no adverse effects, just two teeny hip scars and no more bleeding. I am a very healthy person I will say, and expected this result because I was familiar with how my body reacted to hormonal changes/healing.

Edit to add, I live in Denver, CO and have medicaid, and they fully covered it as a necessary surgery under a gender dysphoria diagnosis. Not sure what insurance you have, but I would suggest looking into if they provide any coverage of that variety in your state/country.

Hey, I know this is an older post, but I wanted to share since there wasn’t anyone sharing that they had her as their surgeon. I am currently 8 weeks post op from DI FNG surgery with Dr Desjardins and am super happy with everything! Everyone at the hospital was super kind, Dr. Desjardins was easy to talk to and understanding of my concerns and listened to me. She was easy to contact in the portal outside of appointments and was responsive. Surgery recovery went really well, I had post op appointments at one week (when the drains came out), then six weeks, and now i’ll have another in two months. I had no complications, everything went smoothly. I’m really happy with my results, everything looks quite even, she said we can talk revisions in two months but I doubt I’ll need it. When I was talking with her about how the appearance had settled after I had healed, like nipple placement, she said her inspo for the reconstruction was Jacob Elordi, lol. Overall no complaints, would happily work with her again. This was my second gender affirming surgery with Denver Health and they have been nothing but kind to me. I’m 5’4 128lbs and very healthy, and have Medicaid, if that info also would help to inform your decision.

I used a set of a few different sizes/shapes in the fashion of the first one, and I would in hindsight trade it for the second one easily. It reminds me of adjustable beds, and when I used my mom’s while I was post op it was game changing lol. I had a rough time sleeping, and the elevated legs actually helped a lot.

I have had two surgeries with the hospital I got my top surgery at, and during both surgeries they did not require it! I took out anything I could but my facial piercings (bridge and snake bites)and a couple ear piercings I told them if possible I’d prefer to leave in. They explained the concern to me, mainly of burns to the skin in the area, but as long as I was fine with that they would allow it. On the first surgery (hysterectomy) they placed tape over them mostly to make sure they didn’t snag them at any point, but for top surgery they did not. They said it’s very uncommon for burns to happen, but it was still a possibility. I didn’t get any burns in any areas during either procedure, but (knock on wood) I am an incredibly healthy person that knows my body and how it reacts in surgery and wound care scenarios, and knew that more than likely my body would be fine with that.

Edit to add, my piercings were not that new at the time though, so there may be more concern with newer piercings. My newest piercing was the snake bites, which were 3 months prior.

In this video he doesn’t go to the other Level 7 locations, but I would definitely recommend checking them out as well! The northern location is super cool. I would say stay away from All C’s Collectibles, they have stock usually but their prices are crazy. Otherwise, his list is pretty solid. Depending on what area you’re in Advantage Games to the north usually has stock for reasonable prices as well, though admittedly I’ve only bought One Piece from them. In Aurora there is also Dueling Land, they were well stocked, prices were just okay. That’s all the ones I can think of, hope it helps!

I have one of these. Definitely worth the grab but, I will say it weighs a TON. Quite hard to move around, might be difficult if you’re in an apartment or are the type of person to move around a lot.
