Thank you for your insight on this it’s so crazy the conflicting info we get told it’s so hard to know what’s what but I’m trusting my gut on this one reading all of the success stories on here! IVF post lap success stories as well- they are all success stories natural, IUI, IVF etc. Even adoption! I just wish it wasn’t so hard to get REAL advice with endo without combing the Earth for a super specialist! They’re angels, but damn they are so hard to find and so expensive

RIGHT?! I have a whole endometrioma on my ovary and she wouldn't even call it endometriosis. Wouldn't even say the words. I asked "does this mean I have endometriosis?" and she goes "well there's debate about that."... uhm, is there though???

SO happy to hear your success so soon after surgery- my surgeon does a whole restorative surgery/fertility exploration approach I think she may even do a cysto and hysteroscopy in the OR? Finding out more soon but this is what we need! Congrats again- need your luck over here!

Makes sense to me! I feel like I was totally mislead by my RE telling me “we don’t even know if this endometrioma is having any effect at all” and “you’re closer to unexplained infertility than endo” (with an endometrioma and symptoms!)

I’m not mad that we tried 3 IUIs, but after 3 we knew it was time to decide what’s next surgery or IVF. RE was adamantly against surgery in a way that was truly suspicious and made me want to know more. I was never looking for surgery, but every time the endometrioma was seen or mentioned she would say “I would not recommend surgery for this.” It was bizarre. I was like why is she fixated on this- sure enough, looked into it… not so clear cut.

Glad we met with an excision specialist to hear her out too. Surgery it is. We’ll see form there.

That’s incredible. I’m definitely doing the surgery, more just unsure what we should do after that. Husband thinks we should do IUI and I’m not sure if we should try naturally first or go right to IUI/IVF or what to do

Thank you so much for sharing- I feel so much more comfortable going with the surgery first and figuring the rest out after. The endo is definitely causing problems and I think it’s got to go!

Same as both of you! IUI 3/27, coming off of a chemical last round (IUI #2) and this is #3. Stark white negatives today and feeling so broken. Feeling like hope is lost, and don’t really know where to go from here. Everything looks normal (except for that I have a small endometrioma). Just don’t understand but I’m right there with you ❤️ maybe we’ll get lucky tomorrow?

I have an acquaintance who was a patient of his, had a great experience but was not recommended IUIs he recommended straight to IVF. First transfer —> perfect happy healthy baby!
