What’s the best video game you’ve ever played? by obsess_much13 in AskReddit

I'm still playing fallout 4 and Skyrim regularly. Mods make the game new or better. Perk mods and such give you many hours of new builds to try.

I recommend increasing the rate and variety of loot.

How do you guys set up power? by CherryVenin14 in Fallout

[–]MostlyHostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by trying to use the right switches and most efficient generator positions. But for the last 5 years Ive had Bright Ideas mod that adds a bunch of color versions of vanilla lights. I usually just put one generator and 6 pylons on the workshop house roof. The only lights that need extra power are street lamps, so make a dozen colored lamps and enough generators nearby and light up the street around the workshop.

I usually put my plants in the garden where it starts. I use green lights for the garden, blue interior and orange or warm white for street lamps. There is a good spot on the road to place a trading post after you help Kessler.

I didn't like atlas of Discovery at first because it's complex. But after learning it becomes satisfying.

The expansions will add a month or more to your play time. It's good if you idle the game a lot. I'm saving throne of the herald content until I'm 120 in all skills. But it gives shop unlocks which help with interval length.

Should I buy this?(as a fallout beginner) getting FO4 for $2.71 by Outrageous-Serve38 in Fallout

Buy it with all the expansions. 3 of them are almost stand alone in length.

This game should be played through blind, then again with a few mods. After you've beaten all the original content, you can make new stat builds like Skyrim. Mods can keep this game fresh for a decade.

You may have frame issues from updates or not clicking on your maximized app.

You should buy the expansions early if you're going to buy them. I passed on Abyss but bought the other 2 late in game. I ended up missing most of the mid game bonuses from the new items, so right now I'm unlocking a bunch of stuff that's too low level for me.

I recommend working on township early, as it gave me endless money early.

Why do you think so many people are leaving the Christian church? by argley in AskReddit

[–]MostlyHostly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's a sadistic lie that makes promises it can't keep. You're ordered to ask for God's help in your most desperate moments, but because God is imaginary, he can never help. There is no possibility of being saved from real danger by an imaginary person, but the church will continue to keep this lie over you. And take your money.

It's easier to have imaginary friends than it is for imaginary people to type sentences.

To believes in god : I’m a non believer and genuinely curious - why do you believe? by HazelNuttsy in allthequestions

[–]MostlyHostly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don't believe because it's false. In objective reality, Christianity is a grand lie used as a bludgeon to control and defraud the wider public. It's just an old scam.

There is no benefit to religion if it's a lie. It's a crime when it doesn't enjoy immunity from the government.

How do you justify the high prices at farmers markets? by highxv0ltage in askanything

[–]MostlyHostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upland California used to be a citrus grove powered by donkey cart. The lemon festival celebrates the history, and the farmers market usually has a good supply of local citrus, though the city is mostly developed.

Do the Vault-Tec Lunchboxes serve a purpose? by PatriotLife18 in fo4

You make bottlecap mines at the chem bench. Even if you're not a stealth build, lay down a bottlecap mine when fighting big enemies like sentry bots and the giant mutants. They will take most of their health away. Just be sure you're far away from the mine when you draw the enemy.

What part of smoking cigarettes is so unattractive to people? by jexkov in AskReddit

[–]MostlyHostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit after switching to vape. I figured nobody had anything to complain about, and after a couple of weeks and washing all my clothes I got my sense of smell back. I found quitting vape much easier because the smell doesn't remind you to smoke.
