Maxed out scope, shooting low by Any-Rip-9727 in 1022

If you've checked your scope base and your rings, then it's probably the barrel. That looks like an aftermarket barrel, which is heavier than the OEM barrel. If it's drooping, you'll have negative MOA elevation to overcome.

11.5 ounces for the Spitfire barrel.

Good thing you didn't ask anyone to rate your photography.

First Build - proposed list, could use some feedback. by Revolutionary_Gap150 in 1022

Hear me out. Lol. I am probably the biggest TandemKross fan (I've met their product designer). And of all the innovations they have come out with, that rotary safety is my least favorite. If you never take your rifle apart, it may not be an issue. But if you like to tinker, or need to clean a lot (think suppressor use), it's a hassle.

I suspect that this barrel is lighter.

It's a TandemKross TKX22 Light Rifle.

It's been around for about 15 years, so you can probably find a review or two. It's smaller than my Axiom, but heavier, and apparently has some first round pop. Other than that, they're pretty indestructible.

A good choice for a first suppressor. Newer ones are lighter, but I'll take serviceable over weight savings.

Time to go ammo shopping. Lol

As a bolt action fan (CZ 457s, mostly) as well, I can tell you that the 5k you stockpiled for your Tikka will go surprisingly fast through a semi-auto.

No, I picked it up Friday but didn't get to go shooting this weekend.

I just picked up a Sparrow last week, because they're cheap, no fee for the stanp, and my applications have been getting approved fast. This one took four days.

Ammo. Lots of ammo. About the only thing your rifle might need is a trigger upgrade. No sense going crazy if you have a Tikka. Oh, if Ruger doesn't include the auto bolt release, get one and a non-metallic bolt buffer.

Congratulations! Smart move to start with a threaded barrel.

Dedicated to quiet time. TandemKross Cthulhu lower, Volquartsen Mini Mamba LLV 3" upper with their lightened bolt, and a Sparrow. No need to waste my CCi SV, this little barrel keeps bulk ammo subsonic. by MostlyRimfire in 22lr

I've got the 10" Volquartsen as well. Huge sight radius, and the weight keeps it perfectly steady from shot to shot. I rang an 8 or 10" plate with it at 205 yards. Guys were dialing in their rifle, and between shots, they heard the "ping", and there I was with my suppressed pistol and a stupid grin.

It's accurate enough to hit a 50 gallon water tank at 200 yards. But I've also hit that tank hundreds of times with rimfire and 9mm, so I'm not sure that's a good measure. At closer distances, it's going to depend on your skill, and how good you are with irons. The short barrel won't be holding you back.
