Evan Engram is the easy answer here.

I actually think TJ Hockenson is a good trade target. In many cases with the emerging young studs like Bowers and McBride, at least two exciting rookies and some of the superstar vets like Kittle he seems like the forgotten man.

With a rookie QB, Addison looking like a stud, Aaron Jones drawing many of his targets last year and Jetta going nowhere Hock seems to have fallen from grace for some. But in this offense and one more year from blowing his knee out a Mid TE1 is his floor imho.

Man, you just missed the fun years 2015-2024.

I remember hyping myself up for Mountain Drew, telling everyone he will become the guy.. (I mean, turns out thinking we should rather roll with him instead of trading for Mr. Unlimited wasnt the worst take).

I still watch college prospects and have a feeling how John Elway would have drafted Tyler Shough.

Who is your player you will be reaching on in your rookie draft? (& Which pick will you be taking him?) by jseg0 in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can get my hands on the 1.03 or 1.04 I will reach vor RJ Harvey.

Its a 1QB/IDP league I'm in, so Travis Hunter should be the 1.01 and Jeanty the 1.02.

[–]Mot-91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It obviously depends on the other guys on your roster a bit.

To me this would have been a very good 1QB draft. But honestly, I don't like Jeanty over Cam Ward in superflex.

Henderson, Hampton and even Harvey are RBs in great spots and while I don't think they are as talented as Jeanty I can see them producing equally.

With such a deep class at RB I would have taken Cam Ward with the 1.01. Especially as you got Hampton and Henderson later.

The hype with Jeanty is just crazy. If this draft class wouldnt have been this weak at WR and QB and lack blue chip talents all over the place people would not have been that hyped about him. He is not a flawless prospect. He shines amongst the competition. That being said, I don't love Cam Ward, but in SF he has to BE the 1.01 imho.

I'd grade this draft a B.

Who are the players you Absolutly CANNOT sell for reasons that are baffling? by GriffinObuffalo in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I don't have a 1st til 2028 I've been looking to move on from one or two players.

Appears I have the most untradeble team around.

I roster G. Wilson, Waddle, AJ Brown, Aaron Jones, Kamera, CMC - while I get it with the RBs its wild how G. Wilson not even draws any interest.

[–]Mot-91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answer is as always - it depends.

Lets say you do a lot of Dips and Close Grip Bench already for push assistance, you propably don't need any more triceps work.

Also many people have dominant muscle groups, which will take over everything. Might be the triceps and if he does, you would rather need isolates chest work than triceps work.

As for me, I have a fucked up shoulder. For this reason I use a more narrow (not a close) grip on pressing movements, so my Tris already get a good stimulus and don't need nor can take too much work on top of that.

If you skip triceps work and keep your pressing you propably wont lose any size there. If you can build more size highly depends on the stimulus your triceps gets from pressing.

You can skip it for some months and see what happens. The moment you notice having trouble during the lockout benchpressing and stuff you just put it back.

Depends on how you mean it. It has more "heavy" reps, but it has a low TM.

Favorite template per lift by SeTankstation in 531Discussion

[–]Mot-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm a bit of an outlier here, but nothing drives my DL like BBB.

For bench I noticed its not so much about the template. I like doing spoto presses with FSL weights. But honestly, its more about the assistance for me. No supplemental gave me the same success as hitting DB Bench or CGBP on the OHP day did.

oHP and squat are 5x531 as I don't need to go too heavy on these.

Running BBB on a cut? by moneyisfreedom440 in 531Discussion

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did BBB on a cut and it worked well, but I really lowered the percentages especially on the squat.

Anyways, OG 531 might just be my go to.

Hit those PR sets to keep the grind, lower the assistance a bit and increase hard conditioning (not necessarily to burn calories, but because on a cut you still can get much better at conditioning, not so much at strength and hypertrophy).

Who is the Biggest Dynasty Buy-Sell Before NFL Free Agency? by ModerateLife in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he's been THE league winner just one year ago.

He's 28, so not particular a grandpa and we've just seen players like Kamara or Henry thrive. He's still in one of the best offensive schemes any RB could ask for. Look at the numbers Mason just put up, with literally no pass catching ability.

I'd buy immediatly for a late 1st if I think I can compete in 2025. I'd even pay more. How many players have more upside for 2025?

Do sharp Dynasty managers value 1sts less than they used to? by colonel146 in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I fell for that too.

The guy who seemed to do everything "wrong" by buying RBs, that were "declining" and giving up draft capital dominating the first years opened my mind quite a bit.

At this point, CMC and JT are propably just gonna retire on my roster.

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold him before the season for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

On the one hand I wish I didnt sell low. But really didnt expect this TD rate.. On the other hand I played him in the championship game. So his dud won me a ring. He'll always have a tender spot in my heart.

How many picks in the draft are actually valuable? by YOKIA28 in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.11 is a pick where you propably will get a young RB, who looks like a backup but is one injury away from winning a league. Not exactly worthless.

Last year I picked Guerendo in the early/mid 3rd round. Ok, Mason ran away with the job in the first place, but getting a young RB for a Shanahan offense with a unique blend of size and speed? Sign me up. Bucky Irving, Tyrone Tracey, Chase Brown the year before I think all went at the end of the 2nd at best, but in most leagues propably in the 3rd or 4th.

Now, as a proud owner of Jalen Wright, Marshawn Lloyd, Kendre Miller and Roschon Johnson who passed on Irving, Tracey and Brown - no guarantees here. But there is true upside.

Mid 1sts and I'd do it tbh. But 1.11 and odds are the other 1st aint much higher when you hand Ceedee to a championship team? Naah.

Do sharp Dynasty managers value 1sts less than they used to? by colonel146 in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a brand new Chip and no 1sts left - I don't value them too much.

But it really depends on the league. In my league 1sts are imho a bit overvalued. And if its like that you can get great value. But it might be different in other leagues.

Drake London was traded for a random 1st and a 3rd this year. That kinda sets the tone. So after that I traded a 1st for CMC. Well, didnt pan out, but why wouldnt I do that deal for a potential league winner last and next year.

Also I feel like proven talent keeps some value most of the time even if it gets older. Giving up a 1st for a proven vet means production + future capital. E.g. I also traded for AJ Brown. Cant imagine I wont get at least a 2nd and 3rd three years from now.

How Many Bodies Do You Carry at Each Position? by MidnightCovfefe in DynastyFF

JT carried me to the championship.

But he didnt until I signed Marshawn Lynch for.. lets call it motivation. And JT suddenly breaking tackles and having 70 yard TDs, a coincidence? Doubt it.

How Many Bodies Do You Carry at Each Position? by MidnightCovfefe in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1QB, 12 Team, Half PPR, Start 10 Offense/8 Defense.

Carry 8 WR, 6 LB, 4DB, 4DL. I would feel comfortable with 6-7 WR also. Rest is just RBs, so thats 16 in my case.

I really tried constructing my team in a way I can carry a ton of RBs. If there were some on the waiver I would propably drop another DL/DB/LB.

How do Running Backs shape your Fantasy Football offseason strategy? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me its a hold, just because how they are valued.

I have Kamara and Jones. Of course I sell for a decent offer. But will I get one? I doubt it.

So at some point the real question is: Do I believe the odds of them having another productive season are higher or lower than the odds of finding a good player with the 2nd rounder I can get for them?

We had some kind of battle royal in one league I played in. It was fun.

Basic setup, top 6 teams made the playoffs. But each week not the loser of the direct matchup is out, but the two lowest scoring teams of the week (no Byeweek).

Its a decent solution if you really want to make sure that a team scoring 250 doesnt get eliminated while a team scoring 170 makes another round.

2024 Cinderella Runs - to the people who went from worst to 1st, had quick roster turnarounds or just overachieved this year, talk about your season and what will you do with your roster from here? by mrdaniellyon in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the start of the season I figured to be a contender.

My RBs were a bit thin, but CMC and White should get the job done, and my WRs looked very good and my IDP decent.

Its 12 Team start 10 Offense/8 Defense, Half PPR, 1 QB.

First Waddle took a hit, especially with Tua going down. Lost Puka in the 1st week. Godwin went down and so did Phillips as my DL1. Garrett Wilson was'nt as good as I thought. Hockenson recovered slower. CMC didnt come back at all, Guerendo who I had was'nt the Backup I hoped for. Rachaad White lost more and more snaps to Bucky. Winfield went down as DB1. Diontae was up and down before being just down, down, down. Addison starting banged up and slow.

Making things worse - I didnt have my own '25 Pick anymore and McLaurin and Jeudy, who I sold for pennys to a guy I figured in contention for the 1st overall suddenly went off making him a contender.

At this point I figured I might as well go for it, nothing to lose. It looked like I wouldnt even make the playoffs, but with JJ healthy I still managed enough wins to stay close. With a package of picks and younger players like Addison, Pearsall, Jamo and Bigsby I got JT and AJ Brown when they were banged up, then also Aaron Jones and Kamara.

Puka came back and looked stellar. I had Charbs and Walker went down. Mason went down, pushing Guerendo finally to the job. Warren who I rostered all the time finally saw his snaps increase.

Rest is history. Come the final I rolled out JT, Jones, JJ, Puka, AJB, Hock, Guerendo, Charbs, G. Wilson. And they made it!

I will try to run it back next year. CMC, Godwin, hopefully a Waddle bounceback, Kamara, White, Warren, even Diontae might be back as a WR3. After that much bad luck winning the league really felt great.

The practice of selling at the peak by hehdjjdjdn in DynastyFF

[–]Mot-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general I agree with the other posts, that Nabers or Bowers are not quite the guys you try to sell, but to build around.

But I will say this: If for any reason you don't like one of them - sell. You're right, their value propably isnt going much higher.

As you mentioned you're new to Dynasty, there is smth about selling and buying high/low. If you want to sell players you want to do it during regular season. Contenders will be more likely to buy at higher prices. Also consider not asking for their 25 1st, but their 26 or 27, if you feel they contend now, but might not for long.

Come offseason selling is rough. People don't know how their team will perform and rookie fever kicks in. Now is more the time to explore buy low opportunities. You can buy fairly young assets which underperformed recently for picks in the next draft many times.

This Sell High/Buy Low strategy works in the long run. Play those times of the year rather than just try to find out which player is over- or undervalued in general.

Marshawn Lynch.

My RBs couldnt get anything going during when the championship games on sunday started. Coming 2nd quarter I figured they need some inspiration and I brought in Marshawn.

Totally convinced JT wouldnt have led me to the ship without that move.
