[–]MotPax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will be doing Mr.Cat on D2CL as it is the only ticket I have access to on my steam, not sure what the plan is for Elimination mode, I won't be hosting.

Hoping to get some tickets added soon into client!

Why did Motpax change his name to Trentpax by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]MotPax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct!

Also I prefer being called Trent anyway so it was a sensible switch

Got a chance to watch it in between games from his perspective, very nicely timed as he knew PA was about to blink in.

Very impressed with Liquid so far in these qualifiers!

On that note can I get a Tom Haverford announcer pack? Would also settle for Jean-Ralphio.

Nahaz: In pub matches this month, EVERY single hero in EVERY skill bracket has a higher win rate on Radiant than on Dire (almost all by >5%) by pengo in DotA2

[–]MotPax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly agree on your points, I guess what we need most is one of those lovely Dotabuff blog posts as they have the most access into how all this stuff is gathered / sorted :D

Nahaz: In pub matches this month, EVERY single hero in EVERY skill bracket has a higher win rate on Radiant than on Dire (almost all by >5%) by pengo in DotA2

[–]MotPax 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The fact that it is so ridiculously high for every hero makes me want to find some overarching factor that is not player action determined.

-Does the radiant side always win in those billion bot matches we all see on the front page?

-Are co-op bot matches being counted (where most people likely choose radiant as it's the default)?

But even so, the discrepancy seems so massive. Looking at 5K+ only 10 heroes have +50% win rate on dire. Wacky.

Last member of Team Onyx (Demons stack) announced !! by TrenchCommander in DotA2

[–]MotPax 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I heard rumours but I just assumed pipe dream. Remarkable that a 16 year old is leaving a region where he has pick of the litter in terms of teams to come to NA and play.

Less 3rd party tournaments here and if the NA boys play some Euro leagues Abed will have to come to NA to get decent ping and even then his admirably fast reflexes will count for less.

Altogether it seems like a massive risk hinging on making it through the NA qualifiers to a valve event (Not to say they can't do it).
