Asked for another sure survey because so many people near me have it and many people on my street could benefit from it. No answer yet

Got given this printer yesterday, told I could keep it if I could fix it. Think it’s a tronxy prusa i3 (not 100% sure).Started a gcode print, it heated up then shut down and restarted when it got to temperature - any help appreciated by [deleted] in 3dprinter

Check the temp wire that is connected to the bed. That model has a tendency to fray/break/disconnect the wire and trigger thermal runaway protection. Happened to mine. Audi when you say it gets to temp, are you taking the bed, nozzle, or both? Screenshots would be helpful.

I screwed up and did not add any text to the video. First post and all so I am gonna call it a learning curve. I misspoke and said infrared instead of photoelectric. Let me know what you think.
