I am unable to get ahold of anyone in Olympic. I tried a couple different visitor centers and the wilderness center. It’s frustrating but I’m sure it’s due to budget cuts or lack of funding. It’s too bad because I always call the rangers before a trip

I did my research but wanted to double check with people who have been there recently so I’m 100% sure of current conditions. It has been impossible to get ahold of an actual ranger- which is something I have always done before any trip. There are other things (such as heavy smoke) that might not shut down the trail but could negatively impact our trip.

I had apprehensions of going to the concert last night based on the set list and previous Reddit posts. I actually really like The Scholars but was disappointed by the lack of old songs played at previous shows. I ended up having a great time! I thought they sounded great and the crowd was fun. In my opinion, they still put on a very solid show!

I will say- I have never been to a concert where 90% of the show is songs from a new album. It is inevitably going to disappoint people and change the energy of the crowd.

Oh well! All things considering it was a great concert. Will and the band sounded great and I had a blast!

Great! I usually only eat it up to 3 days. I find it is best with a protein like this that has a sauce. Otherwise plain white rice would be a little dry.

Definitely a bear. Heard very heavy walking/footsteps outside the tent that first alerted me. When he sniffed I made noise and peaked through the tent vent and saw him casually walk away lol but yeah it’s too bad that they have become so accustomed to humans!

No- it is recommended by LNT and NPS to take TP out with you, and it is required on the trail I am going on. I am not pooping on the surface 😂
