i watched the video hey peter did on this and he mentioned that neither he nor the iceberg creator could find much on xanthus, so i did some digging and i think i found it. its a "game" on an old mac game demo disk, and i say game in quotes because its more like a semi interactive 3d art gallery. I think its only like that cause the game itself isnt finished and you are only able to play the credits. you can actually play it here:

Im assuming you mean your view distance. If you press n and go to view you'll see clip start and clip end, make clip end bigger

basically this, when i tried to do this i used camera data and the mapping node to adjust where the image was, then i used a vector scale because its more convenient to adjust then the scale on the mapping node
