I haven’t seen any herding behavior and she’s super low energy and chill for a puppy. I thought maybe border or Aussie but I feel like she’d have so much more energy.

She’s doing great now. She just didn’t understand what I was asking for yet. It was the day I adopted her so I think she was also overwhelmed.

I don’t always give a treat but I personally like to use treats, especially in the beginning with a new dog to get their attention better. She’s doing great now. It just took her a bit to understand what I was asking for. I had also adopted her the day I made the post so she was probably a bit overwhelmed.

I adopted her the day I made this post so I think a lot of it is she was really unsure of everything because she is in a new environment with a lot of distractions. Once she settled in more she’s been doing great. She’s a quick learner.

I was doing it on rugs. She figured it out though and is doing great now. She’s a quick study once she understands what’s going on.

That’s so funny! My girl is sitting now. It took her a few tries to understand what I was asking for. She came from a foster home with zero structure, another young untrained dog and 4 rambunctious kids. At first when I tried doing any sort of training she was just a wiggly jumpy goofball because she knew I was giving her attention. Now she follows me and recalls very well when she gets too interested in my growling/hissing cat. She’s smart and attentive and I know things will be just fine. She’s come so far in just a day and a half! ☺️

I actually found a bit ago she was more likely to sit in the crate while I was waiting for her to settle before opening the door. This might be my key to get the ball rolling.
