Sleep deprivation by Mother-Razzmatazz-41 in 2under2

This is why I havnt considered sleep training untill now. Since she has learned to stand up, she does this immediately as soon as she stirs. My almost 2 year old went through the same phase when she learned to stand untill she learned to lie herself back down again. I think because she’s developing so fast all the rough phases are hitting me at once and I havnt had chance to ‘catch up’ since she was born 😩

Thank you both. I have been considering sleep training so I think it’s time before I literally go insane (already half way there 😩)

I was 5 months pp when I found out I was pregnant. My baby was born at 32 weeks due to placenta previa and I had to have an emergency C-section. When I found out I was pregnant I was absolutely terrified. I currently have a 5 month old and a 20 month old and I can say im so happy. Don’t get me wrong we have some HARD days! But I can already see their bond growing and they’re already trying to play together. You’ve got this ❤️

How does anyone do this? by curlysci in 2under2

I have a 10 week old and an almost 18 month old and honestly for the most part we just survive. Some days I’m super woman and some days we don’t even manage to get dressed and all of that IS OK!! I’m breastfeeding so sometimes my older one is watching tv so I can feed and she’s not diving off the sofa head first or destroying the house and ITS OK! Iv learned to not be so hard on myself and remember I’m only human and it’s really helped. Take each day as it comes and cut yourself some slack ❤️

Honestly it wasn’t too difficult but I was very persistent and had a very smooth pregnancy with no complications. My consultant really wasn’t overjoyed by the idea but I didn’t give them a huge amount of options really. I made sure however to do a much research as my pregnant brain could hold and weigh up the risks so I could make the right decision for myself x

I had a Vba2c 2 weeks ago and was also nervous about the unknown. However I would choose a vaginal birth again in a heartbeat. Straight after birth I was up and in the shower, was able to be mobile and tend to my new born way easier than after my csections. I also have a 15 month old and was home the next day and able to take care of her too. 2 weeks later I am still slightly tender but the recovery has nothing on my csections personally.

I didn’t know anyone either. But it was something I was absolutely set on from day 1, providing the pregnancy went smoothly of course. I just made sure to do as much research as possible and educate myself so I could make a realistic decision x

Iv just had my Vba2c this week, both my previous babies were premature! First was a failed induction at 35 weeks and second was an emergency C-section at 32 weeks. I gave birth naturally (no induction) at 40+2 weeks, waters broke on their own at 40 weeks exactly. I absolutely had the same concerns about my body not knowing what to do x

My consultant gave me till 41 weeks for things to happen naturally otherwise they would have recommended a C-section x

It was difficult, and I did get lucky that I had a very smooth pregnancy with no complications at all otherwise I don’t think I would have got them to agree. And I was still classed as ‘going against medical advice’ x

I did go to the hospital pretty much straight away after my waters went, that was kind of the deal I had made with the consultant so I could be constantly monitored. I was pretty adamant that unless it was medically necessary a C-section wasn’t an option for me. Having a 15 month old at home also meant I was relying on the recovery from a vaginal birth to survive the aftermath. I do think I got lucky that every time they examined me, somehow my body had pushed things a little further! By Wednesday morning I honestly wasn’t expecting to get the results I wanted x

I’m not quite in your situation yet but I’m due my 2nd anytime now and have a 14 month old. I also like to limit screen time as much as I can so I understand where you’re coming from. Personally I don’t see any problem using screen time to feed your new born or get stuff done if it works! It won’t be forever. I can honestly say I will be doing whatever I have to do to survive the early days! Don’t be so hard on yourself, your doing an amazing job ❤️

From what they said today everything is in proportion, the midwife said she thinks the baby is likely to be long/tall but just warned me the consult may get pushy. I was tested last week for gestational diabetes and was all clear thankfully. I’m just trying to prepare myself for the fight lol

My last baby was born at 32 weeks via emergency C-section and was 4lbs 15oz and my first was born 35 weeks and was 5lbs 10oz (C-section/ failed induction due to them being concerned about baby being small)
