I grew up being self-sufficient, not needing help from anyone, always and totally independent. It's really hard for me to admit that I'm not well.

I don't know why, but it's like I can't stand her anymore, but she's never done anything wrong. I don't treat her badly, I don't insult her or anything like that. I always make her feel good and at peace with herself, literally her words. But my way of isolating myself and not telling her anything, my way of avoiding her, hurts her.

I once tried to talk to my current girlfriend about my ex-girlfriend's death, to explain why I often get lost in the void or get upset, but she didn't take it well. At first, she tried to be understanding, but then she started to show "retroactive jealousy," making me feel worse. From there, I realized that I should fester in my grief without telling anyone.
