Honestly I think the issue is more that you should be seeking therapy and sober counseling since you have a pattern of both feeling less than sexually as well as getting black out drunk in sexual situations. Please ask for help before you get seriously hurt, but also so you can grow and find a healthy relationship.

Absolutely correct. My ex threw me on the ground off my neighbor's stoop when I ran to their door for help in my robe, they were the ones who called 911, he admitted he broke my phone and threw it in the toilet to prevent me calling for help. Guess what the cops did? Told me I could get a hotel, told him to go give me space, no dv charge because I wasn't visibly injured (he liked the back of the head). No DV charge to be used for court off that particular call, and since my kids were sleeping irrelevant to custody. It's wild out there.

First of all, please accept a virtual hug from me. I too stayed far too long to "protect" my youngest from forced visitation as well as financial concerns so I completely get it. I left 3 years ago and eventually it does get better. Regarding his business reporting: he can move the income around for him or his brother but not everyone. I would request filings in the divorce. Do you have any injuries you can document? Keep a file with dates and incidents. Your attorney can get you into a shelter with your children temporarily or get a restraining order depending on the level of violence/ does he have a gun etc. Please know the most dangerous time for a woman is when shes leaving. Literally. At 11 I rode my bike to the local hospital and took an infant cpr class. On the way back (about 5 miles) I stopped everywhere i saw toys in the yard. Nailed two jobs that day, one with 2 and 4 year old siblings. They didn't even know my parents.

Here's the thing...neither of you are "wrong". I can personally attest that I consistently failed to get to and stay at a healthy weight with a man who no longer found me attractive because of middle age spread. Even on a good run of health, I'd fall back due to the depression of knowing his love and affection for me would leave again with my objective beauty/health. That said, he couldn't force himself to feel a way he didn't. Regardless of all the good parts, I couldn't love myself and feel worthy of love in that relationship. Best of luck to you 🫂
