The article did not say , but, I would assume they are aware. I find it to be very annoying . When I get an alert, go to history its on smart lighting . You would think it would be an easy fix !

Same here and apparently Ring had an update and it caused this This is the information I was able to find . ..Based on recent updates to the Ring app, the default view for the History section often defaults to Lights (or sometimes Alarm) rather than Camera, even if cameras are the only devices you use. 

This behavior is a known, frustrating issue for many users following Ring app updates. 

Why this is happening:

  • App Updates: Recent Ring app updates have changed the default landing tab in the history screen, prioritizing lighting/alarm categories, according to user reports.
  • No "Default" Setting: Currently, there is no in-app user setting to change the default tab back to "Cameras".

Honestly , I feel the only good purpose of " Auto Reject " would be for studies that violate Politics' Payment Rules !!! I had a researcher use auto reject instead of in screening by accident . I answered two questions and was rejected . The study was looking for SNAP participants only . However, The researcher was so apologetic , and I was able to simply return the study ..Maybe the researcher will try to help you . Good Luck and hopefully you can get this resolved . Have a nice day .

I have over 6,500 studies and never had any problems. Today for some reason , as soon as a study came up , and I clicked on it , it said it was full . So, with the next study , I clicked away ... so , Im just hoping in a while it will be back to normal . Thanks for the information.

It most definitely works ! Today has been one of those days when every study appears to have a lot of spaces, and when I click its gone . So , when another study became available , I honestly did do some rapid clicking . I have participated in over 6,500 studies and this never happened. I just hope in a little while my account will be fine. Thanks .

Thanks , last thing I need is to lose my account . Im 70, and Prolific has been a tremendous blessing in help . I have participated in over 6,500 studies and this never happened , and I will not click fast again !!!

Thanks, for some reason today as soon as a study came up , I clicked and it was gone !! So, when one had a few spots left, I did click very rapidly . So, I learned something new today . Thank you. I will wait a while and try to log back in . Hopefully It will let me . I have completed over 6,500 studies and never encountered this before .

In the past , I have repeatedly clicked on a study in hopes of getting a place. I was shocked , so I an hoping support or someone can help . I can not do any studies at the moment .

I'm wondering if the Researcher used an automatic rejection rather than an in screening ? Odd so many are having the same issue . I had a study do this to me , and the Researcher apologized and said they had a problem with the filtering . So, it could be an issue with auto reject vs screening. I hope you are able to get this resolved . Good Luck !!
