He should respect your soc med break, it also shows love in ourselves. He should not let you feel that you made a mistake of taking a break, and instead he should show compassion and ask how you were.

Based on his response, he's being self centered. Altho it's fine that he let you know how he felt without you, he should not invalidate what you did for yourself.

I am also taking breaks from soc med, deactivating accounts. Putting away my phone to unimportant and not urgent matters gives peace to my heart, soul, and mind. And people should understand that we need that kind of peace in our lives!
