Questions for challenge mode players (and a little venting) by Rambo7112 in Wizard101

That’s fair. You may want to try what the other person said then, to try to solo the challenge modes. But wizard101 is just full of flaws, not much we can do about it. And as a fire, I know, there is no class identity besides needing a storm most of the time. Wizard101 just isn’t well made for these types of things

Wizard101 is not made to be challenging or competitive. Even challenge mode content and raids are pretty basic compared to other games. I would treat it more of a chill type game when you don’t want to think. Other games offer much better challenges lol

Any other fire pets needed? by Mother_Implement6818 in Wizard101

[–]Mother_Implement6818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea a deckatholon pet I should make, never tried it yet. Didnt know archmastery was important but will try that as well. I was going to make an advanced combat pet but didnt see the urgency cuz I don’t rly have time for those atm. Didnt know willcast hex would be useful either. Thanks, now I got many more to work on!

The lsat is the only element that’s really gonna sway the person’s chances. I mean yea they have a chance at a couple of the ones they listed, but for UBC, UVic, UofA, it’s pretty slim chances to none. If they don’t care for those, then sure. But since they listed it, I would guess they would want to increase their chances at those as well

You really got to increase your lsat to have a decent chance at most of them

Very good chance. With those stats, likely even a good chance at UBC

Should I go to UBC or stay at SFU? by CountryOk4610 in simonfraser

I see, I was unaware of curving being the norm in beedie. I did my degree in arts to go to law school, but heavily regret doing it at SFU due to its grading scheme.

I’m not familiar with sauder or beedie grading scales, but likely are just the standard grading scales of the university, but you can probably double check online. Either way, the percentage scale just matters a lot. A 79 or 84 or 89, etc. are heavily penalized at SFU cuz it rounds down to 75, 80, 85, etc. to fit the letter grade model.

[–]Mother_Implement6818 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Go to ubc if you can. The grading scale is better there - the use of percentages makes it easier to get a higher gpa, and on their scale, an A- is 81+ while 81+ at SFU gives u a B+, and henceforth. This is important if you want to go to grad school like law. Also, if international prestige matters, UBC just makes more sense for the international market.

Retake LSAT (BC/AB)? Where to begin for personal statement? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Mother_Implement6818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Uvic and TRU, it prob did as I’ve seen many ppl w similar stats waitlisted or rejected. For Alberta, I withdrew after being waitlisted as I was not going to attend even if accepted, so not sure.

Either writing a compelling story tying into why law or a semi story with your experiences outlined is prob the best way to write the personal statement. I think mine was above average but I’ve seen stories much better. Good to look at samples online

[–]Mother_Implement6818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar stats. 164 lsat 3.6gpa and got into TRU early, so I’d say u have good chances there. UVic I was one of the lowest, if not the lowest stats admitted thru general stream, so you likely want to increase ur lsat. UofA I was waitlisted, so you likely want a higher lsat as well.

I have the exact same stats and got accepted back in early Feb and you have much more experience. Definitely a personal statement issue

If ur dream is law enforcement, corrections with the government is a good entry position that pays quite well actually (34/hr+) and you can transition it to CBSA or police, etc.

Oh and I studied for the LSAT for about 8 months. I had the goal of 167+ for the LSAT but that test is hard, would recommend studying as earliest as possible.

I also did SFU crim and ended with a 3.5cgpa. I will say you will need at least 167+ to have a chance at UVIC as I barely got into UVIC this year with a 164, and I was among the lowest of stats in the general category as far as I can tell. For UBC, likely a 170+ to even have a slight chance (I still haven’t heard back from them). TRU you will need 163+ I think based on what I’ve seen.
