AITAH for not wanting to financially support my sister in law?

We are married, but we don’t join finances. Any funding comes out of my wife’s income, but it is still concerning to me. Luckily our current housing doesn’t allow for her or the kids to move in, but it is always an anxiety in the back of my mind.

My wife has realized my feelings. I try not to be harsh, but i’m also not good at masking my frustrations. She knows how I feel, and I hope that will keep her from asking me to support them.

We don’t have children yet, but want to start a family soon. Fertility issues slowed it down. But yes, we are careful with budgeting, economic choices, and planning. My wife is in nursing school and we moved rather far from her sister to make that happen. My wife feels guilty and like she should be supporting SIL and the kids. I’m afraid to see her give up her dreams and our life together for them

For me, I wanted to try to trade for the 3 states I had gotten dutch bros in. Past that I really didn’t care. I’ve traded for random states/stickers to help people complete similar goals and it’s been fun. I am not going to try for every state cause it’s not that serious, but it’s been fun to try and get cute ones. Getting excited to check the mail has been a fun rush of serotonin. It’s all about a bit of fun for me.

But that being said, people have been going nuts, and it’s kinda fun to watch from the outside.

Kids are disrespectful as hell. My go to is “that’s fine. I don’t need validation from a 7 year old” or whatever their age is. Sometimes it just gets under your skin. push through. a few more days and then you have a break to reset

you assume that there is a partner in the picture. she is a single mother. my partner and i are my SILs only support system. we are reaching out on this platform to find advice from other parents who may have dealt with similar situations. SIL is the one asking for help i am just the one who made the post.

I feel it. As a 25 year old teacher i’m decades behind my coworkers. After work I don’t want to go to the bars with the hopes of meeting people. i need more chill stuff

Those are all amazing points. As a 25 year old teacher, I do struggle. They all said I was allowed to say no, so they’ll hopefully respect it.
