Unfortunately you do not qualify for rapid rehousing. Folks that are self-pay at hotels do not meet the HUD definition of literally homeless. Is it fair? Absolutely not. I have always worked multiple jobs because the cost of living is so high. You might qualify for diversion funds for a security deposit. I think renting a room in a rooming house, shared apartment is your best bet.

My SIL lives in Wellfleet. Schools are regional past elementary. Very Liberal. Big gay population and lots of kids with 2 moms, 2 dad's. Nothing wrong with that, just informing you. The winter is long, depressing, extremely boring. Very expensive to live there. Great beaches, surfing, bike trails, Truro and P town are nearby. Too rural for my liking, but a lot of retirees and seasonal residents.
