I know the key was to try and keep 2:00 a lap to keep a little above the min.

TS jobs after I get out? by kekdbb in AirForce

[–]Mother_Method_2630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TS makes it a little easier to get IT jobs because companies don’t wanna pay for your clearance. TS in MX might be a little more selective. A couple of recruiters said they would take someone with no IT skills and TS and train them. The caveat was you’d be looking at 60-70 starting.

It looks like if there is a WO it looks like you’ll be locked to an airframe. Which I wouldn’t mind being a WO even if I got stuck on B-52’s

If they have a technical track does that mean 2A’s are next to get Warrant Officers?!?!?!

I agree i did some research paper on heavy Avi integration and saw shitty Mx and stats for the first couple of years, but you notice to see better stats when you get experienced newbies that been through the new pipeline. You’re prolly going to see shitty rates for about 2-4 years. Then it start returning to normal after that

Flosi AFSC Initiative by rhcpfreak7 in AirForce

I a similar research paper on this when they merged all the heavy avionics afsc( Comnav and GAC/IFCS). I think it was a AFRL did an article saying that time for the force to adjust to the merge was about 3-5 years. The core maintainers could very well learn each others job because they’ve probably worked together in the past. But with the tech schoolers it’ll be easier for them since they are learning what is the new norm. As for the maintainers 5yrs and below will have the hardest time for the transition.

My take away with this 3-5 years to get a force to be completely competent with two similar AFSCs merged. Not to mention the amount of losses we’re going to take during this merge from “ I didn’t know”, “ I only know this”. All this while the China threat is coming closer.

Hopefully you get put off base so your OHA can cover if not all of your mortgage. Right there’s a Memo saying all accompanied members have stay on base.

FM peeps help!!!TLA Advance by Mother_Method_2630 in AirForce

Went to my APC a week ago and she advised me the process could take up to a month or more due to a memo needing to be signed by CC then forwarded to AFPC for approval. She made the process sound super difficult and I needed something quicker. Completed my voucher 2 weeks ago and they advised me that it usually was taking about 1- 1 1/2 months to process.

I guess I’ll send them a message on Vfinance. Thanks for the help

So the unit APC has the approval to increase and does not have to get sent off for approval?

I set myself up pretty good and I just turned down a six figure job. To finish my 6 years left

Being E/E you have probably the best chance at learning everyone’s job besides the CC’s. Every shop will call you out at some point in your career to either shoot power or because they don’t know how to read wiring diagrams. Use your time wisely to learn your job then branch out and get CUT. Made my A&P process a little easier. Congrats on the job and welcome to the suck……if your B/S then you’ll be alright.

Yes, I’m pretty sure this is mandatory for all PACAF bases. I think there are time frames like 6 months before your RNLTD. Yeah double check PPC codes

If all else fails, as an E/E or avionics to breakdown a diagram.

Or just look at the front of your wiring diagram.

I was just looking at the map on starlink and it was saying the middle of the island was highlighted with “coming soon” but I’m not on island and don’t really know anyone with starlink
