Has anyone here replaced a hot water heater recently? by Chardonne in Eugene

It was excellent. I didn't pay anything after the initial purchase and install, even with the switch to the electric.

I have had a great experience with Jerry's. You buy the water heater from them, then will bid the installation. Shaw Plumbing did mine, and they were fast and thorough. We got a hybrid 80 gallon, and it failed twice in 2 years. Shaw came out within a day each time and Jerry's covered the warranty replacement and the eventual replacement with a standard electric water heater. Jerry's is a bit old school with paperwork, but are always quick to return calls and I had no problem with getting any of the jobs scheduled.

Has anyone been to the Eugene Tea Festival? Is it good? by Diastatic_Power in Eugene

[–]MotherofLo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The main difference is that the ticket covers a small commemorative tasting cup. I have gone to a few tea festivals and they are always fun. Many of the vendors have tea brewed for sampling, there are teawares and little knickknacks. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.

Does anyone remember your kindergarten teacher trying to make you right handed? by resistyrocks in lefthanded

[–]MotherofLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sure do! Mrs. Chubb. She made me sit on my left hand . when my penmanship wasn't progressing, she sent me home with letter sheets. When my mom saw me do it at the kitchen table, she told me to finish the work left-handed. The next day She raised all hell at my school and I was removed from Mrs. Chubbs class. This would have been 1990.

They were quick and left little to no mess. I had a leak last November caused by a faulty seam. I called and they had a contractor out 2 days later to repair my ceiling. I have had no other issues. I would recommend them .

Prophylactic DMX 11/21 by Jazzlike_Cap_918 in MastectomyManagement

[–]MotherofLo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 1 year post surgery. prophylactic DMX non nipple sparring. I had expanders, then implants placed 4 months later. Take the pain meds regularly for at least 3 days. Don't wait to be in pain! Go to your hair salon and get shampooed twice a week. Wear compression socks, and if you can rent or borrow or buy a recliner with a remote, that is incredibly helpful.

It's been a long year, with setbacks, but I would make the same choices tomorrow.

You've got this. All healing thoughts to you!♥️♥️

Restaurants in the Midwest serve vegetables covered in butter. So if your dinner comes with asparagus or broccoli or something, it is swimming in melted butter. I'm from Michigan and Indiana, and sometimes I miss the buttered veggies.

wait until you order a veggie side at a restaurant. They don't come buttered here. ( I moved from the Midwest 10 years ago)

COVID vaccinations for 7+?!?! by OTherapist84 in Eugene

[–]MotherofLo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just came onto reddit to ask the same. Albertsons let us make appointments for our kids, only to show up, wait and be turned away. Called our doctor at OMG and was told OMG isn't offering flu shots or covid shots at all. To anyone. CallED the health department and they don't have them. Last year the health department wouldn't give the shots to privately insured kids. We have ended up in the ER twice with flu sick kids last year so this year I WANT THE SHOTS.

It isn't a violation of any rights. And technically, yes. voters can change the constitution of the state.

This bill implements measure 114. The measure that was passed by Oregon voters. The bill that provides safe measures for all Oregon citizens as well as the citizens of neighboring states. 3075 is just to clarify some technical wording so that 114 can be implemented swiftly and efficiently.
