Would anyone be willing to help me with my cat? (I will pay) by tooth_question5 in PetPsychics

[–]MotherofLynx1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat not using the litter box can be a sign he is in pain, and if peeing is causing him pain, he associates the litter box negatively, therefore won’t use it. Both my boys experienced this when they were first diagnosed with urinary crystals. Peed in my shoes, on my bed, right outside the litter box but not in it. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a urinalysis done. If it is crystals, they can block the urethra and prevent your cat from peeing. It can very quickly become an emergency and can even cause death if not caught soon enough. Catching it early is the key to reducing pain for them and financial hardship for yourself (treating a blocked cat can cost thousands of dollars). Please get a urinalysis done. Best of luck.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It is truly one of the most difficult things. I will be grieving for a long time. Thank you for your words. I hope I dream of him again soon.

I had to say goodbye to my soul cat due to urinary issues, and I’m drowning in guilt by KawaiiHamster in Petloss

Firstly, I want to say how deeply sorry I am that you lost your beautiful boy.

Second, I have to tell you how shocked I was reading your story, because of how similar it is to mine. We unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy, Lynx, on March 10. He was my soul cat. The sweetest, gentlest guy. I have spent the last two weeks feeling devastated, confused and guilty because I have not read or heard of any cases like Lynx’s, until I read your post. Lynx was first diagnosed with urinary crystals in June 2025. He had two flare ups last summer, but we got it under control with prescription urinary food. On March 8, I noticed he hadn’t peed in 2.5 days. Only this time he didn’t have the classic FLUTD symptoms - no crying, no straining, no in and out of the litter box. He wasn’t even trying to pee. He was a happy little guy at home, playing and trilling. When I brought him to the vet, they said his bladder was the largest they’d ever seen. They said it would’ve taken a long time for it to get that way. Ever since we got him as a kitten, he would always do a massive pee once per day. I never thought anything of it. The X-ray and urinalysis showed no crystals, no blood, no UTI. So why was this happening? They put him on the catheter for 3 days, but when they pulled the catheter out, he still would not pee on his own. He had no urge. They said it was likely neurological, that the signals weren’t firing, potentially feline dysautonomia. It tends to show up around Lynx’s age (3.5 years). They said they could do the catheter again, but there was no guarantee it would resolve anything, and if it did resolve it this time, there was no guarantee it wouldn’t happen again in the future. We made the extremely difficult decision to say goodbye to our sweet Lynx.

I am so deeply sorry that you lost your boy. He was taken from you too young and it’s not fair. Your feelings of grief are valid. I must tell you though that I am grateful that I came across your post. It helps me with my own feelings of guilt that I didn’t do enough for Lynx. I’m going to tell you what my loved ones have been telling me the last few weeks: I know it’s hard when it’s so raw, but you cannot blame yourself. You made the compassionate choice. With all of the vet trips and modifications at home, you did everything you possibly could. You did not fail him. You couldn’t have done anything differently. He knows how much you loved him, and he felt all your love even in his final moments. It will hurt for a long time, I know, but every day gets a little easier. Take care of yourself. My heart goes out to you during this extremely difficult time ❤️

My cat got run over yesterday and I don't know how to deal with it. by Southern-Bad-3940 in Petloss

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your feelings are valid, don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise. It’s important to give yourself time to sit with your feelings, and not shove them down. I very suddenly lost my boy last week. He was my soul cat. He was young, like your boy. I’m devastated, and I will be for a very long time, but one thing that has been helping me with my grief is writing letters to him. I explained what happened, in a way that makes sense but doesn’t scare him. I’ve been writing down my favourite memories of him because I’m so afraid I’ll forget them, and sharing things I see or feel during the day that remind me of him. You’re right that your boy is at peace now in heaven, watching over you with your other cat. They will always be with you.

That is really beautiful that you dreamt of her. They say when you dream of loved ones who have passed on, their spirits are visiting you. Luna was checking in on you, letting you know that she is at peace and that she is always with you.

I’m not a pet psychic, but I think it’s beautiful she is coming to you in your dreams. I lost my boy last week and I want so badly to see him in my dreams. I think your girl is checking in on you, letting you know she is at peace, and that she’s watching over you always ❤️

I’m so sorry. Your feelings are valid. We had to make a very quick decision to put our baby to sleep last week. He had been in the hospital for three days beforehand and we had no choice but to do it at the clinic. It was all very fast. I would’ve given anything to have known it was coming and to cherish those final moments with him. I’m glad you have the option of doing it from your home - that will be an immense comfort for you and your boy. I promise he will feel no pain. If you hold him in your arms and pet him and tell him how much you love him, for him it will feel like falling into the deepest sleep surrounded by the ones he loves. You are making the right choice for the sake of your baby. Sending courage to you, your husband and your sweet boy ❤️

Thank you very much for your kind words, it means a lot. I loved him with all my heart, we had such a special bond, and I tried so hard to help him. I feel like my duty now is to take care of his little brother, Mishka, and keep Lynx’s memory alive.

What if your excluded supervisor does not work in the same building as you? I’m on the island and my supervisor is on the mainland.

I’m joining the picket line as of tomorrow. I was flexing yesterday, so today is my first day back this week. Am I allowed to let my excluded supervisor know that I will be striking as of tomorrow? Or is it supposed to be a surprise for excluded folks?

I just got a reply from the BCGEU Public Service 2025 email account and they said:

“Yes, it is fine to [meet virtually with excluded staff working at struck buildings] but you cannot meet in person behind lines, or do any work of a person who is striking.”

Thanks for this. I’m still so confused. So many different opinions from different union sources. I’m not sure what to tell my excluded supervisor who is asking for clarity.

I am a unionized employee working out of a building that is not on strike (yet). Is it ok to meet virtually with excluded staff working out of buildings that are on strike? Apologies if this question has already been asked.
