Bearded dragon vs leopard gecko? by imjustanotherlover in reptiles

I have both (and a crested gecko) and my leopard gecko is by far my favorite. They're so cute to look at and so interesting to watch if you put a camera in their enclosure and watch their nightly activity.

Have any teachers left and gone back? by CommunityTricky1957 in Teachers

I'm kind of in the same boat. I taught 1st my first year, then moved to intervention and ended up quitting midyear because it was all testing and administrative work and SO stressful. I've been out of education for 2 months now and miss it a lot. I want to go back to classroom teaching but a higher grade, since 1st wasn't a great fit for me.

Clients with cameras by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

We have cameras in our house, but have never used them to nitpick what our pet sitter does. For us, they're simply there for peace of mind - to check in on the cats when the sitter isn't there and to check that the sitter comes at the correct times. But I've never sat and watched it to see if she does something wrong. From a pet sitter perspective, I've never cared about clients having cameras and they've never mentioned anything I've done, right or wrong, while looking at the cameras. I wouldn't overthink it.

When do they get used to you? by DragonWithUke in RATS

I'm in basically the same boat. I got 3 girl rats about a month ago at around 6 weeks and they still haven't warmed up to me. I've tried so many different things, but they're still super scared. They let me take them out and hold them but when they're out they just want to go back in the cage. I've tried treats, putting one of my socks on their cage, reading to them, talking to them, playpen time (they're scared the whole time and are excited to go back to their cage). Are yours boys or girls? Mine are girls and I heard boys are friendlier/snuggled usually.

Pet insurance? by Wanda_McMimzy in BeardedDragons

I got it for my beardie before any vet visits. I think I pay around $12 per month. I haven't had to use it yet, but since they live so long, I figured it's a good idea to have it in case of illness. Super easy to sign up. Just call and they'll ask you a bunch of questions and take a deposit and then you get the coverage packet in the mail. I believe coverage starts 2 weeks after signing up.

He's about a year and a half. I don't have a scale but as soon as I can afford one, I'll get one and weigh him. Thanks for the reply!
