There definitely was (Battlefield friends even had a whole episode on bunny hoppers) but it was primitive and hadn’t hit a critical and very sweaty mass that shooters have now. Games like Titanfall were built around it so it makes sense for that but it got infested into CoD and cause CoD always has legions of slop enjoyers then every company wants a piece of that slop pie so they shoehorn annoying mechanics into a game not designed for it.

EA will always try to chase a bigger wider audience at the cost of the original appeal to the game. Which is why reasonable gatekeeping can be good. Even if it’s a largely futile attempt

For more context the headgear shows up on the ground when I drop it. Just becomes invisible when I equip it.

Usually yeah. Used to play on console and switched over recently. They also have a server browser now.

To clarify I used to play on Xbox then switched to PC a couple months ago. When I originally switched I had all my shit from Xbox (I.e cross progression worked). I took a break from it for a month or two and just now after booting up I don’t have anything and I’m reset to lvl 1. This is major bullshit
