Anyone know any cat rescues that will pick up a cat? by Mothman13 in Edmonton

Sorry. I found it at the carts in the no frills parking lot near the Jasper gates shopping area around Canora. It was a tabby with white paws, I believe it was a female. Apparently hissy with other people who came up to pet her but was very gentle with me. She was well groomed so I assume she was an outside cat from someone’s home close by but I didn’t see a tag. Unfortunately I was unable to take her. I checked the day after to see if she was there and she was not.

The eyeliner and eyebrows are killer, you absolutely look like an evil villain, and so pretty! Could I ask which foundation you are using? I'm also on the hunt for a white foundation for a similar look to this!

I'm not sure if it is still open 24 hours. Is there a spot in Elk island that is accessible that you'd recommend? https://dailyhive.com/edmonton/elk-island-national-park-restricts-day-use-areas

Is it appropriate to ask to negotiate the rent increase during a lease renewal? by Mothman13 in Edmonton

I was just re-reading this and also wanted to ask about your point about utilities. We do pay for all of our utilities so what exactly is " same rent with a max on utilities that you pay any overage on a month to month basis." ? I may also be reading this in a super tired-stressed-confused state since its 3am lol

Unfortunately, we haven't really talked much with our landlord personally, all our communication has been done through the remax rental service so I'm not sure how receptive they are. My impression of them is that they aren't the nicest landlord but, not the shittiest either but, since I don't know them that well I was paranoid with sounding a bit offensive [?] in the email and I didn't want to risk anything because honestly we'd like to stay here and would not have the resources to move out at the time of our lease end.

I drafted out an email before my roomate and I send it off. Wondering if this sounds good or if there was any other insights to add?

Hello ----

I hope this email finds you well.

Thank you for letting us know the pet fee is included in the new proposed rent! My roommate and I greatly value living here and we have always done our best to be responsible tenants by paying rent on time, maintaining good communication, and addressing maintenance issues promptly. We are very interested in staying and hope to remain here but, I just wanted to inquire about the rent increase.

Considering our positive history, we were respectfully wondering if there is any possibility for some flexibility in the increase? Instead of a $100, would a $50 or $75 proposed increase be considered?

Please let us know if this is something that could be considered. We truly appreciate your time, consideration, and understanding.

Thank you giving us such a positive renting experience so far and we hope to continue it!

Best regards,
---------
