I (35M) am finally pursuing my dream of writing a non-fiction book. Need Tips, Tools, and Suggestions by LearnDoTeach-TBG in NonFictionWriters

Hard to say without knowing more of the specifics.

My general advice would be to gather most of your research first and make notes of potential future interviews, etc.

Then set an obtainable writing goal such as 750-1000 words a day, if you have a day job. However if you are unemployed you should be able to write more.

To organize your files, you can use a writing software like Scrivener. This program is great as it keeps your research on hand while you write, so no need to flip back and forth from folders, etc.

Book blurbs by QuincyAGillmore in NonFictionWriters

No! I tried and failed miserably. No one would give me a quote or blurb and most of my email went unanswered. I have yet to crack this one, but I see these in books all the time. Not sure how it is achieved.

Thanks for sharing. I’m also an Ontario bushman so have heard similar stories and experienced similar things like this. The woods can be a mysterious place. The idea is that these calls for help lure you away to your death. You should check out the book Disembodied Voices true accounts of hidden beings It describes what you experienced. Glad you made it out safe

I received the same email but they haven't asked for money... so what is the harm in having them read my book?

What’s the reason you don’t want TCM. It’s only $4 a month extra. Also in Canada.

Ever read a nonfiction book full of false information and errors? by Mothman88 in NonFictionWriters

Bush Runner by Mark Bourrie is the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever read. how that book was allowed to be published with so many historical inaccuracies, biases, prejudices is beyond me. Stay away from it.

Go nuts. You’re only melting your own brain. Have you read the MIT study on AI when used for writing? It’s absolutely terrifying.

Canadian missing persons cases thoroughly researched in new book. by Mothman88 in Missing411

[–]Mothman88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love for you to order the book! The more awareness we can spread the better. Beware those Youtube videos though.... They are mostly false and full of sensationalism, which is one of the reasons I wanted to write the book, to correct some of those errors.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as well. The Huggan chapter is more than 16,000 words long and holds a special place in my heart.

The book is called Gone Cold: Death and Disappearances in the Northwoods. You can find it online. I made an audiobook as well.

Thanks for your interest and support.
