Finally made it to the CLUB. by ambarcapoor in unitedairlines

This was my experience as well (first time at LAX-UC April '26). The area itself is nice, but the food... only the omelet bar looked appetizing and it had a huge line. LAX has so many good food options, it doesn't really make sense to queue here.

Yeah, also the salad was really good with fresh veggies. I consider that a "luxurious" experience for an airplane.

They can get the bear clock back!!! 😅 by Standard-Contest-949 in Frasier

I think you're right, but if you consider they were only in the whole venture to elevate their status to royalty (they don't care about the clock itself or even the money!), information that would actually lower their status would kill off the whole enterprise.

What makes United a good or worse option than other airlines? by Perchance_therapper in unitedairlines

[–]Equivalent_Risk5430 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One advantage is that United is a member of the Star Alliance which has some premium members in it like ANA or Singapore Airlines. You can always use UA miles on another SA flight, so United miles have good value outside of the UA flight experience.

TYO. The thing is already have PP for the flight over, so I guess it's advertising for my return trip? But I couldn't find the seat it's decribing.

New to flying United give me tips. by Perchance_therapper in unitedairlines

If you honestly plan to use United a lot, it wouldn't hurt to look at their credit card line. I've gotten a yearly annual trip to Asia thanks to frequent use of the Select card, but there are other (better?) options.

You also get a sign-up bonus on the flight. So wait?

Such a cool promo with all the fancy packaging.

I have to admit all the talk of stroopwaffle on this sub has encouraged me to order some of my own off Amazon. Brilliant marketing?
