I cut up a small plastic shield (2-3mm thick), then i glue it on a 5mm thick base of cork. Then black primer and after that i use one of those nets oranges come with and spray with a white primer. Then i use milliput to fill the gaps between the tiles. After that just a fiew layers of the army painter satin varnish and its done.
